  1. OK so I wanted to play Battlefield 3 after a long time and I only had vanilla game, I bought 3 DLC's today, Back to Karkand, Armored Kill and Close Quarters. I downloaded them all. Tried to join a server and this pops up on every server that I try to join: "Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster permanent ban issued on this Game Server for player 'REWOWLER-OCELOT' ... GLOBAL PunkBuster GUID BAN 5b03ff04" Why am I banned? I tried to look up the GUID number on PBBans and I don't find anything. The game was working fine when I last played like a month or two ago. Can someone explain me please? Thanks
  2. My friend recently comes back to BF3 to play with me and he found that he is banned in Oct, 3, 2013 for an unknown reason. He clearly remembered that was the time of BF4 beta test and he thought it could be a mistake to ban his account. By this ban, he could not enter some of the BF4 game servers as well. http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-1e4cab0f-vb321558.html ↑This is the ban information. The ban seemed to be 2 years and a half now. My friend really wants to experience BF3 again, so we could use some help about this ban. Thank you very much.

    Detecting cheaters

Greetings. If this is in the wrong subforum, my apologies. Before I start, the game I am particularly referring to is Battlefield 3. I, as many of you fine gentlemen (and ladies I'm sure) are fond of, have one thing in common- Keeping cheaters out of the server and keeping the overall morale of the server atmosphere high- cheat free and drama free, am I right? As I have delved into this topic more and more, I seem to be coming up with next to nothing in regards to detecting users in-game using third party software to be "better" than everyone else. If you are still scratching your head, I am talking about hacks. As for PBBans, Punkbuster, and other third party detection software and tools, I am curious as to what one can do on their own private server to go about detecting some of the more harder hacks, such as aimbot, for example. I can quite easily ban someone for one-shotting on a vanilla server, as that is easy to detect and get evidence for. Although when it comes to wall hacks and aimbots, I would like more insight as to detecting and gathering evidence, as no third party software is perfect. We get "hackusations"on our server, with which I try my best to seek out said user and try to gather evidence to see if said user is using third party software, but I am having trouble with that lately. My question to you guys, in regards to BF3, is: Is there any tips, guides or software (certain things to look for in regards to certain hacks, etc), in which I can efficiently detect third party software? Regards, Troy
  5. Hello all! I was wondering if the FXAA Injector might be detected as a hack by PB. I just don't want to risk it. Being banned for increasing the looks of the game kind of sucks. If anyone knows about the FXAA, you'll know that it's .. well... Awesome :D! it's not 100% there yet but it does increase the beauty of the game and makes it a bit clearer. (Used it on Skyrim) Well thats about it for my question. Thanks in advance, Fancydeath. And a happy new year to all!
