Pbbans sucks.. Im kidding these guys devote alot of time and effort into making this happen. Without pbbans you wouldnt get those small little butterfly feelings in your stomach when you nail a hacker. I dont know about you folks but I get a lil giddy like a school girl. I love to show people the bans. Pbbans is a great service to all the gaming community. Bare in mind that they are just a handful of guys doing the best job they can. So if they dont get to you in a timely manner its cause they are too busy kicking ass. All kidding aside I'm glad they are here for the legit players. The only gripe I would have is that they dont get paid for their service to the gaming community. Streaming was a breeze and the guys here at pbbans have a well thought out plan. Keep up the great job you guys are doing and Godspeed to you all at pbbans.

Well your information is only half right. I do play on Vista and I do have the 8800GTX Nvidia card "known culprit" of black screenshots. Its something to do with clamp toe edge. There is a write up on it and how to fix it. Ahhh i found it .. Please read this thread on pbbans.com Nvidia 8 series cards are the issue. Not pb and most likely not every one is hacking. If i could post my screenshots here You will see that they are all black Cause im too lazy to follow the directions below. Also if im able to hit 400fps in game on most maps why tweak what isnt broken? But do read this thread. Since 7 and 8 series cards use the same drivers I assume its also the culprit in those 7 series cards too. Wow I have had people come to my website crying about this.. I have posted a topic with all the information needed by the offending "group of people" and their public display of pride. They in one respect have a valid point. About scanning your running memory. But the way they went about this was childish. And I wouldnt be surprised if somebody came knocking on his door. In the end those people will get what they deserve. Its just sad that people pay for hacks so this kid gets rich off of expolits. While places like pbbans/punksbusted and many others do what they can and only run on donations. But if there is a market for such a thing we should all just jump in on the band wagon. It could become the next Google.. So why not just start hacking the shit out of the games and make money selling them. If everyone started making hax these guys would be outta buisness.. So its a damned if you do damned if you dont situation. On this very same day that I made this post. One of our tryout guys thought it would be cool to go around spamming servers. This guys name is Oblivion. I have terminated him from bpc and made a post or two on our forums and main page. I will see what the clan can pull together to make a donation. As you may well know running a clan with several servers is in its own a donation driven thing. I have several servers streaming pbbans and its just to show our appreciation for a job well done. I will let you know within a week. We have several older guys that have jobs. And most of them enjoy the hack free gaming that pbbans, punksbusted and other services provide. Thanks again for doing what you do.

Since the last PB update there have been alot of bans in ET 2.55 that are for MD5tool mismatch on actual game files for the game. Some of which are as follows. I am posting this with the understanding that its a pb glitch and alot of people are getting kicked for it. These are game files I wonder if they are scanning the 2.60b files and not the 2.55 in which case these files would be different in md5 sum. The files are different in size from the 2 versions of ET. Let me know your thoughts as they almost have to be a false positive. My research has shown the following sizes for the two versions of ET. Is punkbuster no longer supporting 2.55 ? I thought the latest punkbuster update was supposed to solve this issue? But i also came across yet another thing that can cause an issue. While browsing the web i came across another Nvidia glitch. That prolly needs to be adressed. Well Im not sure why it came up as a 2 minute kick I know cvar restrictions do that. We use the punkbuster suggested cvars and updated punkbuster to the latest. Now with that said I was wrong about Punkbuster being down. We had to manually update our server and it fixed the issue. For some reason the punkbuster master server was not communicating with our server. So we had to manually update it with the latest pb which was released a few days ago. Now could he have been banned for not having the "new"pb client files? Maybe. Well I checked out the log for sv_cheat.log and only found 1 ban for that number. If you would like i can post the offending guid and IP of that player. Oh and his name. If pbbans knew this player had a membership here would they kill his membership? could he be getting inside info from pbbans? by reading the forums and learning how to cheat the anticheat? Perhaps i could let the cat out of the bag and reveal why you didnt post his name and or GUID. Its not a question of oddban its more of a question of why you are protecting this person. I know for a fact this person is a member of pbbans. And since we werent streaming at that very second when he got banned.He got away with something. I have been playing ET since it was released as a demo. And I have never been banned for any kind of hack. Maybe a cvar violation or two. Lets just say there is no way these people do not know whats on their machine. Call it what you will. I have played every mod known to ET and never once did i have someone download a hack onto my pc. So this is why i became a member here to try and help get these scumbags out of what once was a great team oriented game. So protect the guy and while you are doing that I will contact even balance with that ban code to see if its a valid ban. But since this is the only ban in the log by that number it has to be the same guy that talked to me last night on our server and he told me who this ban was. As a matter of fact this is the exact line from my sv_cheat.log As you can see it says nothing about a 2 minute kick. Perhaps he got caught hacking then decided to reload ET to make it look like he found the problem. So do you think bpc| conjured up a hoax ban? I'm just saying that since streams have been down for several days it is very possible it didnt get sent to pbbans MBL. Since no servers were streaming it was impossible to stream his ban to pbbans. I didnt get ours back on the streaming untill yesterday at around 8:00 pm so there ya go. Thats not to say he didnt get on the Evenbalance list. But I think they were down too. Just like punksbusted. Its kinda weird that all the PB stuff was nailed during this outtage.

Well if you were banned its not our fault due to pbbans not being up and running since that attack. And if you could tell me the name he was banned under i will be more then happy to check my log. You prolly play on my box server :) bpc|box We still have the drama cause there are known hackers that come to play and just plain cant shutup. We are visited by 2.60b players alot And i usually mute them after their first 2.55 comment. I cant stand the drama and will not put up with it. :) We run ETPUB 0.8.1 and its stable. We choose not to use the bots. Most AI bots are retarded any way cause they only have a set waypoint. and its mostly distracting to watch them wander around and spin in circles. However setting them to be less skilled is kinda fun just to get high kill ratios. But i think they are useless and they hinder a great mod. Kinda like Noquarter is a modified etpub. They took some Jaymod stuff and thrrew it into etpub and made a more annoying mod then Jaymod. I didnt think that was even possible. But someone did it.

Perhaps point it to the xpsave.cfg cause it has no way to track the guid of that player who uses the !stats cmd.

Take it from me if you plan on going to .60b then you may want to go ETPRO otherwise you will get no respect. All 2.60b clans/players think they are the best thing that ever graced the ET scene. If you go ETPRO with 2.60b then you will have the respect of most clans/players. Jaymod,ETPUB and other mods are concidered non PRO. So they just think you are a joke. These are my observations use them as you will.

We run the evenbalance cvar cfg Maybe thats why we get soo many md5tool ignore kicks :) but it seems to be effective as we have 261 bans in the short time we have been streaming..

You can try enforcing evenbalance cvars with this config http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/rtcw/pbsvcvar.cfg The problem iis that most of the people that know ET/TCE and all the other forms of this game toggle certain stuff. Toggling maxpackets,fov,nudge are just a few for example. And im not sure how pb works but it would seem that pb might not always be checking each machine running the game. What i mean by that is "Bob is toggling on machine a" pb moves on to machine b with John. Then Bob is allowed for several minutes to toggle away. Until pb comes back to his machine. Im not sure if this is just my thoughts or an actual issue. But it seems very likely this could happen. I would like to know how long it takes for pb to scan each machine on a server. That might help in the process of figuring out where to go. I mean its not possible for pb to run checks on each machine all at the same time is it? If it did this I'm sure it would create a load on anyserver.

Ok im the first to cry wallhack. However watching the guy play it seems he is usure of whats going on. Either its a nubhacker or hes just getting used to his new hack. I in some places saw what looked like he might be "walling" however in other parts it looks like he may have just gotten lucky. He apparently isnt that good of a player. Ultimately its your decision banning him would make you feel better. I watched the demo with /r_shownormals 1 and I wasnt left with the impression that he was a skilled hacker. Thats just my opinion do what you will with it.

Those come up all the time in my servers. I believe they are just extreme video tweaks. I have never caught one of those guys hacking. Its the ones you can clearly see in a ss that will get them caught. You may want to try and enforce the evenbalance cvar's which I do. They have a cfg for your to run. from here These are recommended cvar settings to be enforced.

Ok in light of our former admin got caught hacking. He has left the clan and we are now streaming again with punksbusted.com. They told me i had to post a news message stating that he was no longer in the clan and i did that and it can be found on our main page. here http://www.ballisticpc.com under the news section. As per VOD he told me to mention this in this new application. Our servers are streaming now with punksbusted.com but i would like to have them streaming pbbans too. OK before I do that I want to make it clear . Our old server admin for pbbans was caught hacking but is nolonger in our clan. He had the main account for pbbans. I want to be able to start a new pbbans account without him having anything to do with it. We have 2 Enemy Territory servers and one BF2 server. The bf2 server is new and has never streamed. But i want all three streamed on a new account. The old server adminleft the clan and As punksbusted requested that i post a letter on my main page saying he was nolonger with the clan and i did just that. They were more then happy to start a new account for me. I own the clan and the servers. The former guy was just a server admin. And he is in deed not in the clan anymore. So that was why i asked to start a new account because the old account was in his name. And i had no control over it. Please let me know before i continue with the request.
