Respawn's first game will "compete with Halo, Gears Of War"

 

Ex-Infinity Ward creators' first game is a sci-fi shooter, says EA Games head Frank Gibeau. It will not fit into the biennial release schedule planned for EA's Battlefield and Medal Of Honor franchises, instead being released "where we see opportunistic gaps". Gibeau hints that Insomniac's forthcoming EA game, which "a little bit more of an action game than a pure shooter", also has sci-fi stylings.
