The !ban command bans IP, GUID and MAC Address as far as I know. If the offender tries to reconnect it will say that the MAC/IP Address is permanantly banned from this server. You can get around Jaymod 2 bans still, I don't know if the workaround works on 2.1.* though so as long as you're uptodate and an experimentalist (using the 'unstable'/beta branch) you should be fine.

It works from on my server and is extremely effective. Subnet bans (The ones via PB, however) are not at all effective as they arn't kicked/disconnected immediately, which I don't really understand... The only problem is that (strangely) some people (like myself) don't send the MAC address to the server, so it just shows up as blank, honestly don't see how it's possible.

Bumping an old thread, however the solution to all your problems is to run Jaymod 2.x.x series, MAC address bans work... for an hour. With regards to votekicks, everybody should know how to get around those by now, c'mon.
