COD4 PB Update (9/13/2012)

Make sure you tell everyone that plays COD4 to update their Punkbuster on both client and server sides. They will probably be kicked if they don't.

Version 2.318 of the PB Client for COD4 has been released to our PB Master Servers for auto-update and to our website download page. This is a maintenance release.

Devils Battalion clan members have been notified and servers are updated. Now its the members turn to update their end of PB.

the new update is giving mac people a fit again... are people usually have no problem with pb but the mac population has all kinds of fits...

I for myself use Windows, but the problem was discussed on our forums when the pb update before this one came out.

 

This one should help the mac users with this pb update:

 

In case anyone gets kicked again after Thursday's update:

 

Works fine if you download the following three files and into your installation. Right click on the links and select Download Linked File As....

 

For the Mac App Store version:

• Close the game
  
• Download pbsec.htm to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/
  
• Download mc002318.htm to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/htm/
  
• Download ma001407.htm to /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Call of Duty 4/pb/htm/
  

For the Retail version:

• Close the game
  
• Download pbsec.htm to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/
  
• Download mc002318.htm to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/
  
• Download ma001407.htm to /Applications/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty 4 Data/pb/htm/

You need to right click on the file and press Save link as. Then copy the saved files into the respective folders as explained.
