Help ?

When i installed the new cod 4 PB windows files for cod 4 and i update it all and try run a game with PB enabled it says that it can't connect and says server communication failure pnkbstrA.exe ? and kicked for 0 minuets and this is a newly installed call of duty 4 with a new key ?

Set PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB to ALLOW in your firewall.

 

If you have windows 7, this is the path for your two files:

 

C: > Windows > SysWOW64 > PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB  - Set them both to Allow in your antivirus and windows firewalls.

1. Open windows firewall
2. click advanced settings( on the left) and then inbound (also left)
3. Find PnkbstrA.exe and PnkbstrB.exe (if you have two of both, its fine)
4. right click on each of them>properties>programs and services
5. make sure that "all programs that meet the spesifications" is checked
6. then go to the "Advanced" tab and check all 3 boxes. Domain, Private and Public.
7. REMEMBER TO DO THIS FOR ALL PnkBstr Files. then save and quit.
8. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 and delete "Pb" folder.
9. go to these 2 links:

10. download and install both
11. Run Pbsetup.exe (the first link)
12. add a game (eg. bf4)
13. check for updates.

He was asking about Cod 4 so the BF4 info is not much use to him..

The 1st link for PBsetup does NOT contain COD 4 anymore,{since PB stopped supporting it a few weeks ago i believe is the reason,}

There was a thread somewhere in here the other day{last week?} that one of the mods had a link to the old pbsetup he will ahve to use that, but im just home from work and too knackered to go looking
