WHAT THE DEVELOPERS HAVE TO SAY:

Why Early Access? “We're a firm believer that working in cooperation with the community would be the best option to improve our game to bring out its full potential. We understand that our game is currently not complete to serve our audience but our development team is fully prepared to take in all the feedback necessary from the community to ensure that the game was really created for the community. We felt that Early Access would help us ensure we ship the best experience to our community.” Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “We do not have a schedule set in stone yet, but the duration would depend on the continual feedback we receive from our community until it reaches an acceptable standard both by us and our community.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “Our Early Access phase is to allow more of our audience to participate in playing our game and letting us know how we can further improve the quality. Throughout the Early Access we will be continually adding various modes, maps, weapons, setting changes, and much more based from our community feedback. Until we're convinced that our game at its current state satisfies not only us but our community's approval, will we phase out of Early Access and officially release the game. We also have plans on adding Steam Achievements and Trading Cards as well.” What is the current state of the Early Access version? “We have recently concluded 2 closed beta testing sessions where we've received an overwhelming amount of feedback from the community. Our focus during the Early Access is to implement as many player ideologies as possible in order to successfully polish up our game. We will also be continuously adding more content during our Early Access for our audience. Our intent is to ensure our upcoming content does not take us a step backwards in terms quality.” Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access? “Black Squad is a free-to-play first-person-shooter game. However the pricing of our items in-game and DLCs could differ as nothing is currently finalized. Depending on the size of the DLC content the price point could differ, however the prices of in-game items would generally either stay the same or priced lower permanently or just temporarily. It really depends on the community feedback and how that pairs up against our statistics; if it doesn't make sense we'll be making changes.” How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process? “We have been listening heavily on the voice of the community. Black Squad is our passion, our baby, and we want to share this passion with our community. This game is made for our community and we can't reach that without them. We will continue to consistently communicate with everyone through all our channels on Discord, Steam forums, Twitch Streams, and our other social media handles to constantly take in more feedback and showcase what’s coming.”
