SAN JOSE, Calif. - Microsoft Corp. has taken the rare step of warning about a serious computer security vulnerability it hasn't fixed yet.

The vulnerability disclosed Monday affects Internet Explorer users whose computers run the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 operating software.

It can allow hackers to remotely take control of victims' machines. The victims don't need to do anything to get infected except visit a Web site that's been hacked.

Security experts say criminals have been attacking the vulnerability for nearly a week. Thousands of sites have been hacked to serve up malicious software that exploits the vulnerability. People are drawn to these sites by clicking a link in spam e-mail.

The so-called "zero day" vulnerability disclosed by Microsoft affects a part of its software used to play video. The problem arises from the way the software interacts with Internet Explorer, which opens a hole for hackers to tunnel into.

Microsoft urged vulnerable users to disable the problematic part of its software, which can be done from Microsoft's Web site, while the company works on a "patch"

  4. I got this "Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information."

Sorry about that. I forgot. You can't change your display name unless you are an SGA or higher.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about this ban. It is a confirmed cheat. The player that got caught was from Italy. I would say make sure your Internet Security and Anti-spyware programs are updated and do weekly scans for both. Someone, got your key somehow and it is more than likely a virus or keylogger. So, double check your system with other free scanners as well. One may not pick something up, but the other may. You dont know.

As for the ban, it is valid and will remain on the MBI.

Go buy a new game and make certain your key is not layiing out somewhere.

    Sorry.

  6. More than likely, your PC is not fully protected by any type of Internet Security software. There are a few ways to have your CD-Key stolen though.

    1. You bought the CD-Key from a shady retailer.

    2. You have viruses, trojans or malware on your PC and your key was stolen that way.

    3. You got the game from a friend, or so-called friend, and then you played the game not knowing where it might have came from.

    4. Someone came to your place and played the game and copied the CD-Key off the jewel case and took it home and used it for themselves to cheat with or hand out to other websites.

You never know. But, it all depends on the end-user, which is YOU!

You MUST keep your key safe and out of other peoples' hands.

You MUST not buy from a shady place.

You MUST get a very good Internet Security Program and have it installed and updated daily.

You MUST NOT let others play on your PC.

  7. TeamSpeak 3 Voice Communication Software To Be Featured In America's Army 3

Published by Florence Espinoza on Mar 17, 2009

MURNAU, GERMANY, March 17, 2009 - TeamSpeak Systems GmbH, developer of cutting edge voice communication software and integrated solutions, announced today the integration of TeamSpeak 3 voice communication software within America's Army 3 (AA3). America's Army 3 is the only free action game that delivers an authentic and entertaining Army experience by reflecting the training, technology, actions and career advancement of a Soldier within a unique exciting game experience. The game will be released by the U.S. Army in 2009 and as with previous versions of America's Army, AA3 will be constantly updated to include new features and missions and to highlight cutting-edge technologies being incorporated in today's Army.

"Current America's Army players use TeamSpeak 2 with great success as it offers them the clear voice communication they need for effective teamwork," said Michael Bode, America's Army Executive Producer. "The quality of the TeamSpeak products simply can't be beaten. TeamSpeak 3 is becoming the default third-party VOIP solution on the PC platform. It offers us so many exciting features, and we plan to take advantage of them all, some in the initial release and others later with each AA3 expansion pack."

Using the state-of-the-art Unreal Engine 3, America's Army game developers brought the most popular trademark gameplay features from the previous versions to AA3. Highlights include authentic weapons and technologies, realistic training and exciting gameplay missions. AA3 provides players new insights into the Army and Soldiering while making the game easier to play, easier to install and easier to download.

"TeamSpeak 3 provides America's Army with a very high quality VOIP system that will make America's Army 3 an even better product," said Bill Perez, lead programmer for AA3. "The TeamSpeak 3 Software Development Kit made the integration of TeamSpeak 3's VOIP system into America's Army 3 very fast and easy. The excellent documentation, fast technical support, and easy to follow sample code all combined to make the process of integrating TeamSpeak 3 into America's Army 3 an efficient and cost-effective way to add quality VOIP."

AA3 highlights different aspects of the Army from Army Values and the Warrior Ethos to Army career opportunities and lifestyles both on and off duty. Through their in-game characters, AA3 players will be able to experience the ways Soldiers train, live, and advance in the Army. AA3 players will also experience different types of technologies and equipment used by the Army's high-tech Soldier. Players are bound by Rules of Engagement (ROE) and gain experience as they navigate challenges in team-based, multiplayer, force on force operations. In the game, as in the Army, accomplishing missions requires teamwork and adherence to the seven Army Core Values. In the game, a player's actions and demonstrated Army values will have consequences that are integral to success in gameplay and will affect a player's career progression.

The Army creates and distributes America's Army so that young Americans can virtually explore Soldiering in the U.S. Army like Soldiers experience it -- as individuals and as members of teams. Through the Game's virtual experiences, young Americans can explore the Army from basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and medic training at Fort Sam Houston, Texas to operations in defense of freedom. Along the way, they can join elite Army units and experience the strength of Army teamwork, values and technology within an engaging environment. The game has become an online phenomenon, consistently ranking among the most popular PC action games played online. The games are rated T for Teen and can be downloaded free from various partners listed on the www.americasarmy.com site. They are also distributed at local Army Recruiting stations, ROTC Detachments and Army events.

Through its emphasis on team play, the game demonstrates these values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage and makes them integral to success in America's Army.

The Army launched America's Army in July of 2002, and has released major updates to the game every few months. These releases feature new technologies, missions, Army units and occupations. In keeping with the dynamic nature of Soldiering, the America's Army game will continue to expand and will allow players to explore the Army of today, tomorrow and the future. An entirely new version of the game, America's Army 3, will be released in 2009.
