  1. one of these days I will play the game with my sons on one of these servers. Without telling them that we are going to a streaming server! Than DFT may react again.

I wouldn't let it worry you to be honest, I've been accused of cheating many times and I was an SGA streaming here at the time too, it used to bother me at one point now I just don't care, I know I'm clean so I couldn't care less what other people think.

    Enjoy your games :)

  2. Let me tell you the same story that I had written down. Myson said to the other member: “Kill somebody there…” the other member said: “I donot see anybody.” My son said: “It doesn’t matter, they often hide in thesekind of places.” My son was tank driver and fired whereby the person who waslaying there was killed. He saw nothing, but he knew beforehand that it waspossible that people were laying there. During the flag event, he just shootand killed somebody, but it could also be that there was nobody, but in thiscase… it wasn’t. My son told me more of these kind of tricky things, but these actionshave nothing to do with cheating. Nothing at all as you mentioned in your post.He told me: “Dad, they cannot handle that I am good and probably better thanthem.

That to me just sounds like game knowledge, if you've been playing since 2006 then those sort of things will become second nature. It does look very suspect to anyone who might be viewing the player (your son) but it's definitely not cheating.

These are streaming servers for Battlefield 2:

They all stream to this site. Join any one by IP address.

  3. In this day and age where we think we own the planet with technology and money, where leaders kill their own people needlessly.. mother nature reminds us who's boss.

    Very true!

I was watching the news this morning and the speed of that first wave was unbelievable.

  4. A new addition to Steam which I'm also using:

    http://store.steampowered.com/news

Steam Guard, a new Steam account security feature offering two-factor authentication, is now available in beta. As a Steam account holder, you can now take advantage of this additional level of account security, further prohibiting others from gaining access to your account.

As a beta participant, once you've verified your email address with Steam, Steam Guard becomes available for your use and is enabled for your Steam account by default.

With Steam Guard enabled, anyone attempting to login as you from an unrecognized computer must first provide additional, one-time authorization. A special access code will be sent to your contact email address, and this code must be entered into Steam before your first login on an unfamiliar computer is complete. You will also be notified if any login attempts from computers other than those you've authorized occur. Steam Guard essentially acts as a form of "User Rights Management," where you as the user have greater control over access to your stuff.

"Account phishing and hijacking are our top support issues," said Gabe Newell, President of Valve. "With Steam Guard, we've taken a big step towards giving customers the account security they need as they purchase more and more digital goods."

Gabe demonstrated further development of Steam Guard today at the CeBIT computing trade show in Hannover, Germany. In addition to email-based authentication, Steam Guard will soon offer other forms of secondary authentication, such as Intel

  5. Looks like MW2 and I've never played that. Minimal PC footage judging by the console commands at the bottom of the screen.

I wouldn't touch this with a 20 foot barge pole and I've stated why previously but that's just me.

I hope it works out for those that are buying it but if you want my honest opinion, wait and see how things go.

I'm beginning to look like a troll so I'll stop now :P

  6. thanks

i am DomPUNto. why it says i joined in 2010 idk. that alias is one from when CS was a mod on HL ;)

    Sneaky, I like it! :D

I'll log in and give you rep for that post.

I've been having a look at more posts too and came across this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNIZXkacRAU

That's not good considering where the crosshairs are aiming.

According to the devs the aim assist can be turned off in the PC version but I did read 1 post that I thought was very good, a post made by the dev:

    Auto Aim

For those of you concerned about auto aim in the PC version, please note this functionality is for control pads only (the PC version supports 360 control pads) and will not affect keyboard + mouse!

This reply from another player and he does have a point:

Anything that benefits one group of players over the other has no place in a competitive multiplayer game.

Just because Player A is an idiot and is playing a FPS with a gamepad doesn't mean he should get help aiming. In any other self respecting online shooter using something like "Aim Assist" would get you banned for cheating.

Perhaps I am wrong, maybe CryTek has found some way to make it perfectly balanced and it gives gamepad users no advantage what so over, if they have they sure as hell arn't explaining it. Based upon the vague statements made here (and other sites) in regards to Aim Assist it just sounds like official aimbot. If it isn't then provide us with a detailed explanation on how it works and how it doesn't provide them with benefits against Keyboard/Mouse players.

  7.

Yes I've just been reading that post and he took the words right out of my mouth with this

seems mighty suspicious to release a demo that is only so lacking in features that it discourages me and droves of other pc players from pre-ordering, especially so close to release date. if it were a "beta" released months ago with feedback built in or requested, we might look around the obvious portiness

I'm not buying the game anyway but I'm glad someone has asked that question.

  8. Another post from the devs:

On the topic of "console ports", please note that this demo does not contain the full list of PC-specific features that will be in the retail version.

    http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=21050856&postcount=39

This does leave me with a question, why would a developer release a demo so close to the release date of the game and not include all the features? :scratchchin:

It makes more sense to me to include as much as possible to target the audience you're trying to sell to.

  9. God PC gaming stinks.

I think it's been going downhill for a while, it's much easier (lazy) to release a console port and hope that we'll put up with it.

Configs locked down, lack of mod tools, lack of dedi servers, etc.

Microtransactions could be the next big thing in PC gaming too following the announcement from Valve today.

I think we've got more to come yet :(

  10. The current Steam stats SuperTaz, might give you an idea of the playerbase, current players and peak today respectively:

    227 / 952

The peak players was over 1,000 yesterday but it can go up and down very quickly, it's also not been released in certain areas yet so that will have an effect.
