SuperTaz
Has anyone tried both OpenOffice and LibreOffice? Is there any difference to them? http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/

Pisi-Deff
OpenOffice is the original. LibreOffice is a fork of it... a spin-off so to say. The reason for the fork was that the corporation behind OpenOffice was hindering development by the community... so the crew sodded off to work on their own. It still includes whatever beneficial changes are made to OpenOffice... but also additional stuff by the LibreOffice team. So LibreOffice is probably better.
Knives*
The development of OpenOffice is really slow since the original developers moved on to LibreOffice. LibreOffice is in current and active development with planned release schedules. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan
