Gamehacks and Attempted PB hacks?

I took these from my pbcl.log. PB kept kicking them but they did not show up on the ban list. These are gamehacks and attempted PB hacks, correct? Also, we are streaming; so I'm not sure what happened.

these are no bannable offenses.

their could be multiple reasons why players are getting kicked for those issues.

I've been kicked by pb for Corrupted file/Memmory before and it was caused purely by bad ram, the game was trying to allocate in a spot of my ram that was bad and hence a boot occured, same could be said for those players..

the unknown windows api has been a common problem for players, we cannot prove their cheating it could be something as simple as them using a certain beta of windows vista for all we know..

also afaik ' You ' are not a Streaming admin here otherwise you would have the sga icon and access..

Thank you for replying so quickly. When I registered, I thought since our leader told us that our server was streaming that his previous registration to have PB fully enabled on our server meant that I didn't have to fill out the streaming part of the registration. I done goofed, LOL. Sorry about that. And as for the explanations you gave, I appreciate it. I have the basic outline for violations printed out to refer to. Do you have a more detailed one breaking it down further so I don't make this mistake in the future. I saw the # classifications they fell under and took it that they referred to the cheat families mentioned.

Also, I can't seem to find the one topic again; but it referred to the 3 logs that can detect cheats. Can anyone give me the commands so i can start logging them. I already have the one for the pbcl.log. Thanks.

on the gameserver itself sv_cheat.log / sv_viol.log are the two logs that store the different types of 'caught' violations on the server however NOT ALL of them are Cheats only specific violations..

the VAR logs also store all information in regards to all player cvars (custom cvars pbss md5's clien guids etc )..

When the server is streaming it essentially takes those 'var' logs information and passes it along to use where our parsers find specific known cheat violations, so the server admin really doesnt have todo much other then stream their server in which this case your MAIN server admin is doing i presume.

also not sure if this is what you were after or not?

http://evenbalance.com/publications/et-pl/....htm#violations

#101 - Communication Failure

#102 - Communication Failure

#131 - Initialization Failure

#132 - Protocol Error

#141 - Distress (This indicates a problem trying to update to the latest version of PunkBuster - it may indicate a problem reaching one of our Internet-based Master PB Servers which can be caused by firewalls, router problems, etc.)

Cheat/Hack Violations:

When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. Families of cheats are listed below. Resolution: Remove cheats and hacks from the computer.

Affirmative, that is the violations outline I have printed out. ;) So the logs you are referring to come from the host(clan leader's computer) and communicate with PB through the parser? Can I, also, do the same with the sv_viol and sv_cheat and what are the commands if it is possible? Especially now that we are not streaming!!!

I know I have the pbcl.log because I was having lag and packet flow problems and Wouter Tromp told me to type this into the console.

pb_logtofile 1

and then

pb_writecfg

I bet our leader thinks we are still streaming; but he forgot to set it back up when he put our second server up yesterday without a doubt. DOH :o

Thanks, Guys, I'll keep sending in all the links for the hacks sites that I find, too. :D
