streaming from Multiplay

hi there

 

our servers are hosted by Multiplay, & i've just added the pbsv.cfg & pbucon,use to the configs.

 

i've followed the intructions to check streaming and i'm getting nothing.

 

i've tried to check to see if our server is in the Master Stream Index, but its not.

 

i don't know if i've set it up correctly,

 

so would it be possible if someone could help.

Hi,

Your application has not been reviewed by an admin yet, please be patient, it shouldn't be long, it's just that everybody here has a life outside of PBBans :P

 

In order to make sure your server is ready to stream as soon as added, simply issue a pb_sv_uconlist command through RCON and you should see the pbbanshub entry.

If you do and the pb_sv_USessionLimit is higher than 0 then your server will be able to stream when we add it to our system.

 

Application review should be done within the incoming hours, don't worry ;)

the server is not streaming.

 

i've added the pbsv.cfg & the pbucon.use to the config in clanforge, i restarted the pb server, but when i type in pb_sv_uconlist i get this

instead of this

Do you have rcon access to your server ?

 

A quick fix is included in the "not streaming pm" you received after your initial application was processed.

 

via rcon, one line at a time;

 

pb_sv_writecfg pbucon.use

pb_sv_restart

 

Wait for PB to restart (Approx 10-30 seconds)

 

pb_sv_USessionLimit 3

pb_sv_uconadd 1 64.27.21.46 pbbanshub pbbanshub

pb_sv_task 10 7200 pb_sv_ver

pb_sv_AutoUpdBan 1

pb_sv_writecfg

 

If that fails to work please raise a ticket with mpuk and inform them of your problem :)

I used the HLSW program you can get it here HLSW use the pb_sv_ commands fozzer posted. There is a tut in the downloads section on how to stream your server it shows how to use the HLSW tool. That was the easest way i got mine to stream.

 

like fozzer said if that dont work sent in a ticket to your game provider

We used to use multiplay and it's a bit more complex to set up. Firstly you need to access Clanforge and log into the Profile editor, go to the add-ons section for adding scripts to your profile and click little menu in the box and select the option that contains the PBBans plugin, select it. Once that's done you'll notice on the previous tab there is now a PBBans box you can put your ID in.

If those settings do not work instantly then there is a problem.

The RTCW server is still there and I still have rcon for it :D

still having problems with it not streaming, it maybe conflicting with somthing in my config, or i maybe missing something, i'm willing to go through with what i've done with you, but not in an open forum, just in case you want to see my config files.

 

also i have asked for some help from a couple of guys who are on Multiplay, just waiting for them to get back to me.

 

once thats done, i'll set up our other 2 cod4 servers as well.

I had a few probs a week or so ago with streaming with mulitplay, i managed to fix that after MPUK & PBBANS were teling me it was the other parties fault...

 

however no matter what i do now they wont stream again, i guess we are i nthe same boat.

 

if you raise a ticket at MPUK you wont get it corrected bcus they blame PBBANS for the problem.

 

so looks like we are stuck in middle earth until they both actually do something together and sort it out.

I've managed to get a server streaming with clanforge.

 

Steps

1. Click 'Servers' button on left had side of clanforge.

2. Tick the tick box to the left of the server you want to stream.

3. At the bottom of the screen click 'Live Control'

4. Click the 'Console Tab'

5. At the bottom of the screen enter the following commands into the 'Input' box, one at a time and click 'Send'.

 

pb_sv_update

... wait 90 seconds

pb_sv_writecfg pbucon.use

pb_sv_restart

... wait 20 seconds

pb_sv_task 10 3600 pb_sv_ver

pb_sv_USessionLimit 3

pb_sv_AutoUpdBan 1

I couldn't get the above process working via Clanforge, but RCON CC access worked a treat.

Glad to see its all sorted Bro.

re rtcw, it will probably be a waste of time installing :P we do not get many players using the 2 rtcw servers that Jolt still have up.

Most of them moved over to etqw and cod4, the forums etc are still active and the most players you will find on there will be when reunion games are organised and all the old hands show up.
