FSK-FiA- Posted October 23, 2008 Share Posted October 23, 2008 Hi i am vondering. what is consider not cheat and cheats :blink: i red im forums and so on that its good to alter ur max fps if u have a good pc, the game is set to max 80, while it sayd it best works for 125 fps. some alter the fov feald of vision to 80 that gives them a huge advanteds in when they see otter that dont see you jet. and max packet flow is set to 100 is this cheating or youst setting the game best to your pc and one want get banned Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RAMC Posted October 23, 2008 Share Posted October 23, 2008 (edited) Cheating is the use of a program/cvar/setting/bind that gives you an unfair advantage. You wont get banned at all, for maxpackets or fps commands. Just, some Servers have different settings, where Admins put max fps settings allowed, so people can't do certain jumps etc. So, nope that isn't cheating. Pretty self explanatary, any tweaks are allowed (to improve performance), cheat commands are ones that improve accuracy, anti-recoil, aim, speed, vision etc. /com_maxfps ??? /cl_maxpackets ?? /cg_drawfps 1 ^ Handy commands. McBain{TibeT} Posted October 23, 2008 Share Posted October 23, 2008 You won't get banned for FOV/Maxpackets/FPS settings.. only kicked if the value you have set is outside the values that the server admin has allowed for the particular server you are playing on. And far as changing stock cvar settings, Each server admin can kick/ban for what ever they please, and there is no control on what they monitor. Now for ladders, Each one is different with their own set of acceptable rules, If you compete, be sure to read the rules they set forth.
