If you have FTP

PunkBuster (COD4) Player Client Files

The following files are only needed if your PunkBuster doesn't update by itself. Right click the appropriate links below and choose "save as" to your "pb\htm" folder - make sure the file you save is saved with the filename shown below. Players only need the files that correspond to their Operating System, Server Admins need all six files.

PunkBuster (COD4) Server Files

The following binary builds are only needed if your PunkBuster Server doesn't update by itself. Right click the appropriate link below and choose "save as" to your home "pb" folder (note home is where fs_homepath points) - make sure the file you save is saved with the filename shown below. Then issue a "pb_sv_restart" command to restart the PB Server with the new version. Players do not need any of these files, Server Admins only need the file that corresponds to their Operating System.

Did you load the htm files to the htm folder within the pb folder? The pbsecsv.htm is the only .htm file that goes in the main pb folder. The other 6 .htm files go in the htm folder. You also need the pbsvnew.so file in the main pb folder.

The either issue a pb_sv_restart command, or reboot the server.

Server admins need all the htm files as well as the other two listed.

also make sure it's the right PB folder. Linux often stores PB in the .callofduty4/pb folder. To find out where it is being stored use pb_sv_homepath in RCON.

EDIT:

Are you running a listen server at home? Cause all those PB messages in yellow are not sent to the client.

Use RCON to get info from a remote server. HLSW works well.
