Welcome here. :)

I personally also run Avast. No such issues, so I'd guess the update has been applied.
-
Download the latest pbsetup.exe file directly from evenbalance.com, run it, and enjoy.

Which tags are you referring to, and which clan? That info would help us help you.

You can try to create that cvar from console if you like. It will come back as an unknown command. The cvar is created by the cheat that uses it, and is not a default file of any sort. He sold you a line of crap when he says he does not cheat. As far as the validity of the pbbans detections, his ban should actually prove to you that they work very, very well.

That's a darned good band, as well. Music is often a window to a personality, I think. I know my choices in what I listen to are always reflective of my mood. Disturbed is perhaps some of my most favorite gaming music. :P

I personally listen to a very wide variety of music, from country to blues to metal of all kinds, even toss a bit of rap and hip-hop into the mix once in a while, but selectively of course. Dire Straights will always remain one of my faves, though, and they have some harder stuff out there too, as the true fans all know.

You won't see a band like this again, nor a guitarist of the same quality in our lifetime... Enjoy!

Dedicated server streaming denied?
RoadWarrior replied to maubo's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Any time you want to co-locate that box, or rent off a known GSP, feel free to re-apply. LAN, or home-servers are not supported here due to security reasons, and part of our ToS. Please read it. -
http://www.pbbans.com/account/webtool.php Be sure to choose the correct game from the drop-down list.

We support pb and PBBans streaming. Have you got a link to this program?

No issue with that on my server. I did notice a new "Auto Update" button that came with the patch, but have not clicked it yet. Server and install both running the 1.7 patch successfully.
-
Most server hosts include an option to do so directly from your control panel. Gameservers.com and MyIs do, as well as a number of others. Or you could request for the host to update for you, if they have not included this. To tired to google a link, but somewhere on the IW forums, there's a link to the server-sided patches required per-O/S.

NoQuarter, some older versions could be run on a 2.55 server with annoying Server not running compatible version message popping up on a regular basis. The mod was designed to run on 2.60b patched servers. If I remember correctly, some of the bugs that appeared in older versions were fixed and the latest version only runs on 2.60b servers. I can't verify that, as I have not personally run a 2.55 server since 2.55 was a new release idea. I've never seen a connection like that occur, how-ever, in my time running the mod on 2.60b servers, and I recently set another such up again.

Every so often, there is a new version release of the pbupdate.exe file, and it's always good to have the latest one. PnkBstrB.exe is started by PnkBstrA.exe, and will only show in your list of services once attempting to enter a pb-enabled server. That's why it isn't showing upon reboot. Try opening your game's console and watch for any error-messages related to PnkBstrB.exe failing to start.

Usually it's laziness on the player's part. PB runs as a service on your computer. Check your firewall settings, as you have done already. Secondly, the manual update. Thirdly, if the above two do not work. Rename your pb folder to pb_old, download the latest version of pbsetup.exe from evenbalance.com and slide it into a new folder you created named pb, run it, and let it re-create the files from scratch.

I installed the lastest version of Nvidia drivers for my 8800-series two days ago with no issue. Do not post "I heard" rumors without something to back it up. The issue can't just be dealt with with random posts on what you think it might be. Such issues need to be given some hard-core fact. A. Did you update drivers? If so, from what to what, and what hardware do you run? B. Were you running any new or newly updated programs in the background? If so, which program, and list the update and what the previous version was. C. Do some thinking on absolutely everything you might have changed on your own system, provide as MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE. D. Posting I'm being kicked, with error, but no other info to work with will get about as far as tying a lead-brick to your leg and hoping to be able to swim in the ocean if you jump out of a boat in the middle of it. E. Error, currently running programs, hardware info, operating system it's being run on, driver revisions, anything changed recently....More information will help us, as well as you sort through this. We can aim you at what to ask evenbalance in a ticket, and evenbalance can be more informed, making their ticket easier to answer, as well, rather than leaving us all in the dark and looking for an answer for you, with next to nothing to go on.

He's referring to the odd characters on either side of it, a bit more in the back-ground. Those are related to the various different versions related to language and country. My Canadian version is similar to the US version. A UK version is also very similar. But, when you get into a French version, a German version, a Polish version, etc....these characters start appearing, for some reason only known to the dev's. Easy enough to duplicate if you can get a hold of one of those versions, and of no advantage.

Have any ban-links?

And thank you for the same....the right hand helping the left is what this really boils down too.

FF is from the opensource community. It's actually a pretty nice little browser, and very popular. It has many nice features, including speed, ease of use, and better security than IE. Perhaps it's only annoyance, on my part, is manually installing every single plugin required to give it as much functionality as IE, and some of them you've got to spend time looking for, regardless of download sites for them. I have it installed as a backup, personally, but I don't see me using it as a main browser, ever. I used Opera for a long time a few years back, and found much the same issue with it, when it came to needing plugins. That's perhaps the one thing that IE maintains the crown on.

We would need the original, untampered ss with all complete information attached to the bottom, including guid, etc.
