  1. Mine is updated, too.... Case, generic, Seagate 500GB 32MB cache SataII hDD, Xtreme Audigy-gamer soundcard, 4GB ram, OCZ-Reaper, 800Mhz, 9800GTX+ SC video card, latest drivers, MB is the same, for now, P5N-E SLi, older chipset, but likely to update soon.
  2. A mod should be irrelevant, and won't affect streaming. Have you tried using the online setup tool on the homepage?
  3. The solution to this would be to co-locate your servers at a know co-location DC, or rent servers from a known GSP.
  4. Can you give us a web-site link to your ISP that could provide more information on their services? Your above post is helpful, but much the same could be accomplished with a decent in-house router, and a dedicated server + home computer. The fact the first two octets are identical was perhaps the initial issue. We'd be happy to look into it further, with more information pending.
  5. Two posts up, not a bad prediction.... ;)
  6. Server-housed, as in a dedicated server being hosted from someone's home? Bottom line, any and all servers that you attempt to stream are checked via IP through the MPi, or master player index, upon your application. If the server IP matches a player's or several player's IP's, it's obviously hosted in a house, on someone's local internet connection, rather than a known GSP, or Co-Location facility. There are several reasons for denial at this point. One being that every player on that server will return the same IP, and two, the server's IP could end up changed at varying intervals due to today's dynamic IP assignments that are ISP controlled, which interrupt streaming, and cause all sorts of other issues when it comes to our streaming methods. Your buddy can find a co-location host, and send his dedicated server to them, to be hosted by them, and run it remotely, or your clan can rent from one of the many GSP's out there that we can verify. In your case, your own personal IP is als so close to that of the server, it would appear to be a second computer on your personal internet connection.
  7. I have to agree, -mRx-, that's a pretty decent hosting package for the price.
  8. Official Site From the official site, no news of a demo release. Official release date, how-ever, is November 11 for the US, and November 14 for Europe, so I'd expect a demo out around the end of October at the latest.
  9. Says it all.... Sorry, had to inject some humor based on this post, but, perhaps think about what is said in the above link, as well. Take it for what it is, it's humor, based on the gaming world, yet at the same time, has some merit in how we all behave in-game. Personal interpretation is completely up to the individual, and no, do not give me any flak for the link. I personally found it humorous.
  10. Add it to your AccCP, make sure you choose your game, and then run the Autmated Hub Setup Tool via the link to the left. Should be as good as done, shy of waiting for admin approval, which only takes a brief period of time. ;) :)
  11. Tags being registered are on a first-come, first-served basis. Just takes a bit of creativity on your part to register the one you want, with a variance, should your tags already be in use. Such is life in the gaming world, how-ever. You'll likely find a clone or two out there, with different meanings to them. No biggie. :)
  12. COD4 Server Audit Tool Click that link, and input your server's IP and port. While it's not an end-all answer, it may shed some light on things you can change to help improve your chances of showing on the master list more often.
  13. Odd, I've never entered that 'var, and I'm on Vista 64x, I've also had the game running just fine on the 32x version and had no issue with breaking the screens.
  14. There's no code that I'm aware of. I personally run an 8800-series card, which is the same family of GPU that any of the 8000-series uses.
  15. If you're referring to the many TV screens with the color bars on them. Knife, grenade and bullets all work fine on them. ;)
  16. Send me a PM with your league's website and other pertinent information. As well, it never hurts to simply apply to have one of your own personal servers streaming to help get the ball rolling. :)
  17. Another question for you. Are you running this game on a Windows Vista operating system? If so, try right-clicking the icon, and first, set it to run in backward compatibility mode for XP, secondly, run the game as administrator. If you're on XP, I'm not sure what to say. A second possibility, is to open the folder in which BF2 is installed, and find your pb folder. Right-click it, and re-name it to pb_old. Now create a new folder named pb, and slide your pbsetup.exe file into it, and run it. This will create all the pb files from scratch, without any of the old files being in place, or being over-written. This sometimes works when nothing else will. Give it a shot, and keep us informed. Hopefully this works for you.

  19. If you've allowed access for the game to connect, the port is openned. ;) Did you also run pbsetup.exe for BF2?
  20. Are you behind a router? On wireless internet perhaps? Check to make sure your router allows the game to connect. This will depend on your router, so I can't be specific on exactly what to do. You will have to open the game-port for BF2 if it is blocked. Check to make sure your firewall is not blocking pb or the game in any way. Lastly, if on wireless, try plugging in directly to the router, or the modem. Wireless has never been good for gaming.
  21. Now, to ask a question to find out further information. Are you attempting to reconnect right after the kick? If so, do you get into any of the games? Lately, I've been getting the same thing with COD4 on initial connect, and after one kick for corrupt packet-flow, I immediately reconnect with no issue. Give it a try.
  22. You could just add to your original thread to keep all the information relative and in one place so we can follow along a little easier. Edit: Merged for conveniece to help you better. Future reference, use this topic and post any errors you are getting. Please take the time to copy down the exact pb-kick error and post it here, not just a version of it in your own words. We need the exact kick-message issued to you.
  23. If EvenBalance spent all their time patching gaming company's broken games, they'd never stay on top of what's really important. Just as an FYI, EvenBalance is contracted by said-gaming companies to provide anti-cheat support, not patch the game's exploits or other deficiencies. EA has taken their sweet time patching this....the game is how old now? EvenBalance does a damned fine job of the work they were contracted to do. They are not the answer for the various game manufacturer's faults, short-comings, or any other deficiencies related directly to the game manufacturer. Sadly, though, many seem to blame EvenBalance for everything, due to lack of understanding that fact, or perhaps due to personal reasons, I don't know. Time to stop blaming EvenBalance for EA Game's short-comings, my friend, and move on.
  24. With COD4, it's mostly luck of the draw. Some things to try, however, that may be of help. 1 is to shut the server down for a full 30 minutes after updating to the latest patch, then restart. 2 is to populate it, via your clan, to begin with. Once it's had a population for a while, it tends to show up. The master list is bugged, at best. Doesn't even show the full or nearly full servers with filters turned off, or set various different ways. It's something IW has to fix, but are not likely too.
  25. Sorry about that, had a few to many things opened at once. :( Thanks Ice :)
