While ina server type /pb_cvarval authservername in the game console. It should return cod4master.activision.com. This should work on most servers.

We are a 3rd party PB support site. kinda like a game community site. Only EvenBalance issues and manages global bans.

No matter how many times you say "home server" it won't change the fact we don't allow them to stream here. Dedicated linux box works wonders with iptables for banning IP's.

We will not lift that ban. Plus it's globally banned so it can never be used again. We ban GUID's not alias so if he never used the banned GUID then it likely a name hack was used to spoof his name.

Looking at the ticket he posted it's another cdkey. Which I can not find at pbbans. Either that or it's the BF2CC hash which is totally different. His name is on two guids, one banned and one clean. The clean one ends in b34d82e0. If the banned one is not his GUID then he has nothng to worry about. We ban GUID's not names or IP's.

No globals for 80310 as far as we know. Usually globals are issued for specific violation numbers in the 50000-59999 range.

Some digital copies of CoD4 has been known to trigger Violation #80310. We have removed bans for this violation at the request of EvenBalance. 31 Call of Duty 4 Bans have been removed from the MBI and unban commands was sent out on Feb 4, 2008 for hub streaming servers.

We send any unban commands 10 seconds apart, if a server lags because of it then that's a PB issue, we are just issuing the commands that are part of PB. Plus we rarely send unban commands Bottom line, if you get lag all the time then it's most likely too many cvar or md5 checks. Also could be too many PBSS being taken over a short period. Also Windows servers are known to lag more then linux when it comes to cvar and md5 checks. The no home server statement has been in our TOS for a long time. It just wasn't strictly enforced until we intoduced the new application system.

We don't issue unban commands very often so if people are getting lag daily then something else is causing it. Commonly a server that is running too many md5 or cvar checks over a short period of time will lag. Also if too many PBSS are requested it happens.

Is the pbucon.use file in the root PB directory? Also you can check the pb logs as they will tell you if there is a problem with ucon.

Sounds like the cvar is being loaded from another file. Try looking at pbsvuser.cfg and look for pb_sv_cvar r_fog IN 1 change to //pb_sv_cvar r_fog IN 1

Both GUID's If they are still playing then they have new keys.

They need to ask EvenBalance cause not only is that GUID banned here but it's globally banned by EvenBalance. http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticket/new_ticket.php From what we know this violation is valid.

The widescreen fix app that triggered that violation was released Nov 3, 2007, your ban predates that. I know the author of it and only version 1.30 triggered it.
