Actually if I recall it was Battlefield 2 that started this mess in 2005 for us PC gamers. Also started the trusted provider crap too.

Doesn't sound like you can do much in ranked. Oh joy another game that revolves around ranks and a system to protect the damn things.

I've posted elsewhere that DX10+ eye candy doesn't make a game great, the game play does. Just a note MW2 still tops the most played game on XBox Live while BC2 has slipped to #10.

If your provider can't or won't help you than the only suggestion I can give is drop it and goto another provider.

They only work if the player forces DX9 mode or is using WIndows Xp. Basically you have no control over what DX version a player uses and there is no way to tell.

1) Need hardware to give EA the free servers as part of the deal. 2) Be F*cked if I'm getting into the GSP business again. I have a life which I regained after the last GSP I helped run went under (To no fault of mine)

Honestly we do not know. Because of no server files we can't figure it out either so you have to ask your rsp that question.

All signs point to no. Cheaters are happy because of it.

Yet DICE added unlock shortcuts to BC2 where people can unlock everything for $20. As was said report to EA if you want but a server will not be denied streaming here because it supports stats padding in some way.

Long story short no. They only work if the player is using DX9 and even then it's not guaranteed to work.

I got it last night and I'm really not impressed at all with MP. I played it for about 5 minutes and quit. Nothing about it was fun for me. However I like the SP engine and if it was used for MP I would definitely play it. The biggest annoyance is a lot of features in SP are not in MP like lean, prone, sprint strafe (very big annoyance for me), to name a few. Why they used such a limited engine for MP is beyond me because it ruins the game. Looks like I will play through SP and never touch it again. Bring on Black Ops in Nov.

I haven't downloaded the client to play them since I don't have enough bandwidth left on my 3g+ plan (I'm away from home working) but even if I did I signed a NDA so I have no comment :P
