  1. I really hope we'll see a massive banwave soon. Tonight only I had to ban 10 LEVEL 0 cheaters, all blocking PB screenshots and aimbotting... * sigh * Going to be a busy couple of weeks again...
  2. Apparently that bug was already reported by a (not wellknown) player back in December 2013... https://twitter.com/JaqubAjmal/status/455625306679021569
  3. Never overestimate the participants. A blackout with only your 2 servers participating is not really a blackout... ;)
  4. DICE is pretty open in lots of media telling that they screwed things up. And they have been working pretty hard to fix things. Even BF3 had not this many server patches in a couple of days. Also, many DICE devs are communicating on Reddit, Twitter and the Procon forums during their vacations. They reach out to their fans and are pretty easy to approach. So what is this group fearing? Why that anonymity? Why not try to communicate in the open? Yes, the game in current state is not OK. Just like we had to wait months before BF3 became stable and pretty good. So, did everybody forget how bad the first months with BF3 were? Remember: we did get the queue system only since march (game released october) and vipslots in the end of April. Not saying DICE delivered top notch; on the contrary, I can hardly play this game myself without getting annoyed. It's just a fear that came true for me: first months would be horrible. But I still try to communicate with them and trying to help them fixing this game. I'm not participating in a black out, I will keep communicating with DICE.
  5. Played some rounds this evening and besides the random (server) crashes the game was really smooth on my machine. I had no lag at all and my framerate was a steady 60 on medium settings. OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit Ram: 16GB CPU: Intel I7 990X Graphics: Radeon HD7870 2Gb
  6. Maydax has memories of posted images. Must be a good memory ;)
  7. I wrote this on the procon forums as well: [sarcasm] Thinking about doing a workshop "How to manage a Community and make the most profit" Contents of the workshop: How to destroy a healthy community and GSP environment - part 1: Raise prices How to destroy a healthy community and GSP environment - part 2: Create scarcity How to estrange your community and long time fans from your best game ever: Limit options for server owners even further [/sarcasm] Never been disappointed about a frigging game in my life. But this really does hit me hard. FFS, We supply and pay for these servers so the majority of players can play for FREE. We are the ones who keep this game going as long as WE PAY for these servers. How about a bit of choice where to rent from... Is that really too much to ask for? 15 RSP's worldwide... ROFL.
  8. And I think half the list won't sell you a UK server... so you can look at the usual suspects for overpriced slotprices...
  9. I think the success of FairFight depends on a proper implementation. I've seen the complaints about FairFight in BF3 and WarZ. I've asked Sabz1337 about the implementation and what kind of cheats should be 'detected': Her reply: If indeed FairFight can tap into the server and notice these kind of things it would maybe be useful. If it's based on stats (killstreaks / KPM / SPM).... not so much...
  10. Join the conversation on Twitter: :)
  11. I'm taking that as a compliment my friend, you can go to bed again :) I don't think it's only based on statistics. I think It's based on what DICE wants it to be based on. And I hope it's only configurable from DICE's side... If BF4 would have the location info of players (like we had in previous BF games) and if FairFight can use this info to kick / ban the "impossible". Or how about detecting "damage mods" in real time. That would be great! If that's possible, this could be a huge leap forward. I don't believe GameBlocks offers a banlist like Even Balance, so that would be up to the DICE anti-cheat team. And like we've seen with BF3, it takes DICE a lot of warnings before a player really gets banned. But if they use the data (automated reports) from FairFight, we might see more and faster bans from the DICE anti-cheat team.
  12. ^^ Just wanted to post that :) FairFight must have gotten a bit better over time, so I'm excited to see more from it. Also wondering what happens with 'cheaters' caught by FairFight...
  13. G-portal.de will be selling BF4 as well. There is some divide and conquer tactic going on with the assignment of BF4 GSP's. I've the strongest feeling DICE is spreading available GSP's in a geographical manner. Germany as biggest market will be having the most amount GSP's to choose from. The UK will probably be divided between Multiplay, i3D and Gameservers. Many of smaller UK Based GSP's already confirmed they were out. US: NFO, i3D, Multiplay, Gameservers (and probably some more) Above is speculation from me, but when looking at the 'confirmed' GSP's this is what it looks like.
  14. Nope, not really :) Just asked them why that site is still up... as it was redirecting to gaming deluxe previously. But you can remove them from the list, as they are one and the same. KC can't sell BF4 servers either.
  15. Killercreation is Gaming Deluxe ;) They merged somewhere in 2012
  16. I only like Gameservers on that list because the PB screenshots... ;) I would NEVER ever have my servers from them... I'm really annoyed by the fact EA / DICE decided to exclude Gaming Deluxe. They are truly the best GSP I've ever had the pleasure to get my servers from. I left Multiplay to go with Gaming Deluxe. Never had any regrets. Support of i3D and Multiplay are just not up to par. And I'm scared the support will go down the drain with even more clients for those 2.
  17. Ik wist niet eens dat er een NL subforum was ;)

    Tridef 3D

I believe there has been a ban on PBBans for a screenshot with the Tridef 3D dot on it. But after appeal the ban got removed. Edit, found the topic: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/using-tridef3d-banned-via-punkbuster-t167907.html
  19. I learned this from the PBscreens.com forum: Using the beta participation with this new broadcast feature will result in black PB screenshots only. Using the normal Origin version, all my screens are OK. Using the beta version, all my screens are black. Source: http://www.rconnet.de/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=2273
  20. LOL, noticed that error too :D But seriously, FairFight seems to suck at the moment. Maybe they straighten out the bugs, but still it's nothing more than a script looking at score, kills & deaths. I can understand why they are testing it on Close Quarter maps, but still... I don't think this is a proper anti-cheat service.
  21. Found a video on Youtube of a BF3 server using FairFight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESj-tTMDOeE&feature=youtu.be The player is having a good run and suddenly gets killed a couple of times by FairFight @ 5:24 Looks like an annoying thing to me. ;) We already can do the same with Procon and the InsaneLimits or ProconRulz plugin. Maybe even better because we also take the Battlelog stats in consideration. FairFight just seem to nag good players using the RCON interface to look at score, kills & death ;)
  22. I came across this news on i3d.net. Makes me wonder how this works in relation with the gameserver.
  23. Guess we've seen now this is not correct anymore. Too bad EA / DICE / EB did not listen. It would have been helpful.
  24. Welcome back guys! Keep up the good fight!
  25. It seems Even Balance added Violation #79551 to this list also. http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=support-bf3.php
