Despite my initial concerns im now really looking forward to the DLC. More infantry only maps are definitely needed. I hope they decide to allow at least 24 players on the pc servers though. Anyone know what time this patch is going live? EDIT Its a 40mb origin update, downloaded just now.

Hard to say without seeing some proper game footage. Its a game ill defintely be checking out come october if im bored of battlefield 3 by then. I bought the last one though and thought it was terrible, so unless the multiplayer has been improved ten fold, ill pass.

Did you play Aliens vs Predator? I kinda liked it, but it could have been so much better. However they got that pulse rifle look and sound spot on. I hope they nail that this time. Who doesnt love a good pulse rifle? :D

What the hell happened to far cry? I remember playing the first but im sure it was nothing like that. I think that looks horrible when compared to battlefield 3 graphics. Its like going back to the 80's but without the cool haircuts. I think i may have just become a graphics whore.

I bought this while i waited for battlefield 3 to be released. Having enjoyed the tank battles of the previous version i was rather disaapointed with this game. Clocked up a few hours on it and never played it again.

I would never buy the unlocks. Part of the fun is using stuff to unlock other stuff. If it all was unlocked at the start i probably would have lost interest a long time ago. I think of it as something to work towards, when you reach that its onto the next thing. This adds vital longevity to a game for me. I know this is not how everyone here sees it, so each to his own and all that i say.
