So the GUID and IP and person who used your nick......has nothing to do with you huh? GUID : f64296d69539ea76afe2a6c6a6004bbc Aliases : - ***Bad_aZZ_Devil*** ***Blue_Eyed_Devil*** {-=Sh=-}**BAD M.F.**(C*E*O) {-=Sh=-}**BAD M.F.**(C.E.O) BAD M.F. Bad_Azz_Son_[d] MaroonE IP(s) : - 12.219.144.238 - United States 12.219.155.208 - United States Keep trying to deny this guid and IP are not yours. I liked your pet name of "MaroonE".....funny I have seen that one on many cheat sites....hmm.

I was not talking about your demo......or the fact that the person in the demo was a cheater or not. Without "all" of the required proof that goes along with a demo, it cannot be added to the bans list. -
Let me correct you on a couple of points. First, you claim that the ip and guid listed are not yours. I beg to differ. http://www.pbbans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=3849#3849 As you can clearly see the ip addy is listed as: 12.219.155.208 Your current ip used here: 12.219.145.20 Surprisingly, traces back to the same company. Now unless there are 2 folks using the same ISP in the same neck of the woods....running around in SoF2 with the same nick.....then this is you. Secondly, we are not in the business of "collecting" hacks....no one here has a need for them. Send them to [email protected] and they will see to it they are detected. Third and lastly, WarMonkey is correct.....we are nothing like that other site and will never stoop to their level. (Side Note: However, I did enjoy you calling the anal folks at the other site "squids")

The rules for ClanBase were recently revised. They now state that individuals must not appear on either the PBBans MBI or the "other sites" mybumleaks.

The SoF2 server admin that are registered here will keep a look out, if possible. Problem is we are not in a school house....and we don't look after all of the children....all of the time. Looking for one person is difficult. The server admin know what to look for and how to spot cheaters. If, in fact, he is a cheater.....he will be caught and banned. The reason that you are posting in the "Public" SoF2 area is that your server is not an internet game server......but a LAN server. There is a whole other world besides this area of the forum. Easiest way for you to cross over is to rent a real server :P -
How Can i Take a screenshot like those in screenshot quiz???

A demo would be a good start.....have you tried contacting the server admin? -

A change of how to get your servers streaming to the PBBans repository. Each of these commands need to be entered through your console. For the pb_sv_loguser please use something revelant to your clan/group, i.e, VODserver, EFKserver, etc. The pb_sv_logpw can be anything you choose. Here is what it should look like: pb_sv_loguser VODserver NOTE: This does not apply if you are already streaming. -

Dwarden, I just noticed that you play AA.....do you play on a leased official server or do you have your own private AA server? Either way, you should try to be more specific in with your concerns. Our intent here is to keep the cheaters out of our servers, and I am not understanding your inputs. You seem to be a little confused on the Repository process. If you are on a leased server, explain to me what logs you can get to as those are basically restricted to the hosting company. I will reiterate.....RCON cmds are not logged into the PB server logs....they are in your qconsole or game logs which are NOT streamed to the Repository. -

The sv_cheat and sv_viol are not streamed....they are actually already listed in your pb server logs and those are streamed. :) -
That was the best part of the whole story.

RodeoBob replied to RodeoBob's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
Remember folks here are a few pointers: 1. SirRob's mouse finger is tired of the massive amounts of cutting and pasting required to post the cheats that you add to the forums. 2. By using the repository, your server will still have your own logs...nothing changes there. The logs that are stored on the repository server will become part of the automated system here at PBBans. Instead of you having to browse your sv_cheat.log, sv_viol.log, or PB server log for the cheaters and then posting them on the forum.....only to have Rob add them......c'mon. The PBBans system will take your streamed logs (which btw are only mirrored from your logs) and parse them. The information will be used in the MBI and the MPI. 3. What information will used? The connection info will be used in the MPI. The MPI will be modified depending upon what user level permissions you have. If you are a normal visitor....you will only see the last 8 of the guid....no ips....and most importantly it will be linked to the cheat violation if any. If you are a server admin, you will be able to see more as the system will be secure and not accessible to the general public. The cheat violations recorded in your server.....any and all....will be automatically added to the MBI. What does this mean? Once the system goes on-line....the testing phase of the repository is over and any cheat violations from that point on will be added automatically. (Key thing to remember here......if you are a server admin....don't "test" cheats on a public server with PB turned on ;) ) 4. I can't stress it enough....no one.....other than the top 4 admin that I listed will ever have access to those logs. MA-Chick.....I hope that any problems you may have with the repository can be openly discussed so that the staff here and the other admin can get a better understanding. I would honestly like you to try it out. 5. Would it make you folks feel any better if I posted some screenshots of the Repository....and even show you what the logs look like? We are all server admin here and I have no problem will posting one of my logs here. Thoughts.....questions......... Oh yeah one more thing, think about how much time it will save you (no more cutting and pasting).....and SirRob can take the splint off of his wrist :) Using the repository only helps the server admin....especially in a dispute....no more way to fake a server log entry (or remove any). -
Yo Vladx....I know your were joking :P There will be a listing of PBBans protected servers up and running. Can't give you a timeline...but soon.

RodeoBob replied to RodeoBob's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
In trying to answer your questions clearly, I will provide you with some personal experience with the streaming. {VOD} servers have been using the repository server for many months now. We have noticed no changes to our server as far as lag is concerned. I also run the MD5Tool and the var logs. Out of all of the server admin who have tested this....only 1% of them have stated they have had any stress on their servers. After looking at their configurations and making some adjustments everything returned to normal. I can assure you that by you using the repository that you will either have 0 effects or very minimal (and those can be sorted by some adjustments). I can't see a reason to be doing 250 md5tool checksums in 30 mins. It is very likely that maybe some assistance in the way your server is setup will help you in not having to perform so many tasks (sounds like your doing more tasks than playing). Now to the tricky one....the pb_rcon set password. I have not seen any adm cmds in the streamed logs (they are normal in your qconsole.log). I remotely run rcon cmds all of the time on my server and those have yet to show up in the streaming pb server logs (again normally things of this nature are in the qconsole.log). So, to help you and I and the rest of PBBans to understand, I have e-mailed the folks at EvenBalance to request their input on this. As to your comment "the repository which was used in early versions...." You sound as if you tested it before? .... or tried to "decipher" the program. Can you help clear that one up? Lastly, everyone is curious about the safety of the logs stored in the repository. ATM, only 4 individuals have access to those logs (me, CJ, SirRob, and Hoot). CJ is the site programmer/architecht/GOD, SirRob is a site admin and the bans manager, I (well I am just me), and lastly Hoot owns the server that PBBans is hosted on. -

I am fairly certain it is ftp (CJ can prolly help clarify) and it isn't a steady stream.....it reserves a certain amount and sends it similar to sending packets....a little at a time. -

As this will be the preferred way when the PBBans system goes live, yes, it would be nice to go ahead and start using the repository system. Although, keep in mind.....until the system goes live....you may continue to post your cheats in the forums. Once the system is up....all logs in the repository will be added and dupes from the same server/time will be over looked. Thanks. -
Guess Fred the Cat gave it a try and then Hank the Hound got jealous so he decided to try it too thus the two separate incidents.....barring that it 100% wasn't the person that owned the key.....gotcha.....

I have and never will think of myself as some sort of god. I am a leasee and admin of a server which I intend to keep as cheat free as possible. The purpose of this site is to other admin with the same intentions combine our ban lists so that we can all play the game. There are lots of PB enabled servers.....as well as many servers without PB. Obviously the server admin who run those PB enabled servers run PB for a reason. There is not a piece of software in this world that is without bugs or issues. The reason for the updates......geez that is a no-brainer....ummmm......new cheats detected....and added. Sure there will always be cheaters out there making their little cheats work so it isn't detected by PB....but guaranteed....one day it will be.

BFBUSTER: is this the end of gaming as we know it
RodeoBob replied to a topic in Comments & Suggestions
A cheater is like pond scum......you can clean the pond.....but it will return. They are also like roaches they scurry through all of the anti-cheat websites spamming and talking shit.....but when the light is turned on they run and hide like the pissant insects they are :) -
Stinkles.....I read your original post. It bascially says what everyone knows......there are new cheats/hacks coming out for ET. Have you tried sending any of those to [email protected] ? I also think you are a bit confused....as some others are. PBBans.com is not EvenBalance.com (the makers of PunkBuster). If you are wanting to keep your game server as cheat free as possible.....instead of bashing....why not register and prove your point.
-
Dwarden Do you meet all of the following: 1. Have a dedicated game server....not a PC server? 2. Have a clan/group/game server website which lists you as an administrator of that server? 3. Run the server 24/7 with PB enabled? We have to be strict with who joins. Even if your not in a clan but you "run" a game server and want to help we could see what transpires.
-
Mithras Are you a server admin with ftp access? Where did you get these from? Why not register with us....so we could get them added to the AA bans list?
-
I have seen it before as well.....could be an OSP bug.
-
You should never test cheats -- but you can send them all to [email protected] and they will gladly ensure they are detected in future releases.
