MaydaX
I used Fraps for a long time but I could never find a good app to display cpu and gpu data (usage, temp) in game. Then I found Playclaw and haven't went back to Fraps since. http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/6919/playclawoptions.png http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5209/playclawportal2.jpg I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking for a better alternative to Fraps.
Kolor
Been using Playclaw for a long time now (primarily for GPU/TS overlay) and have been very happy with it.
xX_Renegade_Xx
Never heard of it I must admit. I only use Fraps and have done for a long time but I'll check this out, thanks :D

MaydaX
I just installed PlayClaw 3.0 and man it's NICE!!! http://blog.playclaw.com/2011/12/video-capture-settings/ http://blog.playclaw.com/2011/12/audio-capture-settings/ http://blog.playclaw.com/2011/12/lets-start-with-playclaw-configuration/ http://blog.playclaw.com/2011/12/overlays-configuration/
Crotan
Ehhh, I use to use PlayClaw, but then I realized built into MSI-Afterburner there is a video recording application. you can show all the usual info on screen plus record any length any size. No more watermarked or limited stuff from using free versions of playclaw or Fraps If you already overclock, might as well use the utility built into your software. Kolor
I had problems with Playclaw 3's overlays. After positioning one and returning to the main config screen the entire thing would become unresponsive. I could lighlight menu options and buttons but they wouldn't register clicks and using the hot key I set did sweet FA. Only fix was restart either playclaw or game (cod4). SuperTaz
Norton says it is a "Suspicious Cloud7" type of file. So, I submitted it for review to symantec so they can decompile it.
Twiebie
Norton says it is a "Suspicious Cloud7" type of file. So, I submitted it for review to symantec so they can decompile it. I think it does this because of the activation bit, but it's indeed good to let Symantec check it out.
Kolor
I think it does this because of the activation bit, but it's indeed good to let Symantec check it out. Unlikely, probably more to do with VMProtect than a standard activation technology.
Piggy
Did they fix two things thou Can you use MMB for recording audio now? It didn't detect mouse inputs before. Did they fix how videos are recorded? If I ever used an uncompressed format, or anything VLC can't open it.
EdTambov
Can you use MMB for recording audio now? It didn't detect mouse inputs before. PlayClaw 3 can use up to 2 keys in one shortcut (keyboard or/and mouse). Did they fix how videos are recorded? If I ever used an uncompressed format, or anything VLC can't open it. Do you mean fix VLC? :) PlayClaw 3 has 3 modes: no compression, low compression (its own codec) and mjpeg compression. p.s. latest PlayClaw 3 version has bad bug... do not start uninstall if you want to update PlayClaw 3 to another build or you will get problems with all system codecs. Simply install over previous build.

Kolor
Can't seem to find option / hot key settings for in game menu on this version. Am i missing it somewhere?
MaydaX
Don't think it has in game options screen anymore. It's all done in the program now.
Kolor
The in game menu on the 3.x branch was sketchy at best anyway.
HSMagnet
i am using 3 build 2099. is it better than 3?
Kolor
My primary reason for buying it was the TS overlay and that's not changed a huge deal over the last few major versions so can't comment if it's better in other aspects. The 3.x in game would often become unresponsive for me meaning I had to tab out and kill the process to get back to game.
Chaos1907
Playclaw looks nice, but I don't agree with the prices and the upgrade policy. I have gadgets on my laptop for several things. As for the ts overlay, I could have ts open on my desktop when I'm gaming on the laptop. Once my parents give me our wifi password, I could buy the TS3 iPhone app.
Kolor
I bought a license for it some time in 2010 / 2.X branch, not had to pay any more for new versions since then including the latest 4.X. Having TS open on another machine is not really a solution if you scrim, same with the iPhone (Android version in free by the way).
HSMagnet
3.xx will crash and takes some games with it. wonder if 4 still does
Kolor
Causes issues with Promod (unable to tab out of game, just displays Windows cursor over game) if you start the it with Playclaw running, but ok if you load it after you've loaded the mod.
