This year's installment in the Call of Duty series seems to be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

The title could briefly be found on an empty entry on the US PS Store on PS4, at the top of the Trending section - it has since been removed. Here's a screenshot:

Not many devs left that bring something new to the table, maybe this new CoD is fighting on the moon, zero gravity warfare, float away from your enemies in style.

The Legacy Edition will include the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered. The Remastered Edition will include the campaign and the multiplayer mode with 10 MP Maps. The full list of the multiplayer maps has not been revealed yet.

IDK to me it seems odd that they forgot the "4" after "Call Of Duty"...if that is enough to assume that the poster is fake - who knows?

The Wii version of cod4 omitted the 4.

The first trailer for this year's Call of Duty game, Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, debuted on YouTube on Monday and has since racked up more than 8 million views. But many viewers — hundreds of thousands of them — have expressed their displeasure with the futuristic Call of Duty by giving the video a thumbs-down.

 

With 370,000 dislikes (and growing), the overwhelmingly negative response has made Infinite Warfare's trailer one of the most disliked videos on YouTube.

 

Many of the complaints from YouTube commenters center on the futuristic sci-fi bent Infinity Ward is taking with this year's entry. Infinite Warfare features space travel and battles on distant planets, and many viewers have been making unkind comparisons to franchises like Halo and Star Wars, saying they'd prefer a more grounded, realistic Call of Duty. The two most recent Call of Duty games, Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare, also featured futuristic settings, but kept the action on Earth.

Infinity Ward have confirmed that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will not in fact have a new engine. It will be using the same engine as each year, but there will be improvements as always.

The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare beta on PS4 has been extended an extra 24 hours. The news follows a weekend plagued by server and matchmaking issues.

 

I had so much trouble even joining a match Saturday, that I wrote a piece on why the beta should get an extension. I’m glad to see Infinity Ward and Activision oblige.

 

Today has been a lot better in terms of getting into the game and matchmaking, though getting into a match is still slower than it should be. Hopefully that’s cleared up by launch.
