SuperTaz
http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2016/07/kickasstorrents-alleged-founder-artem-vaulin-arrested-in-poland/ Federal authorities announced on Wednesday the arrest of the alleged mastermind of KickassTorrents (KAT), the world’s largest BitTorrent distribution site. As of this writing, the site is still up. Prosecutors have formally charged Artem Vaulin, 30, of Ukraine, with one count of conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement, one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering, and two counts of criminal copyright infringement. Like The Pirate Bay, KAT does not host individual infringing files but rather provides links to .torrent and .magnet files so that users can download unauthorized copies of TV shows, movies, and more from various BitTorrent users. According to a Department of Justice press release sent to Ars, Vaulin was arrested on Wednesday in Poland. The DOJ will shortly seek his extradition to the United States.
-Slayer-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *cough* I mean good, damn pirates just because they can't afford or get content in their own Country or at an affordable price because of price gouging, some feel the need to borrow it to test it out and see if it's worth it. :P
sammad143
The basic infrastructure/protocols of the internet was based on anonymity and free sharing, they are naive if they think they can bring torrent sites down by attacking specific individuals, you take one down, 2 other springs up, its a case of "The Stick" v/s "1000 soldiers", "The Stick" wins every time!https://www.technotification.com/2016/07/kickasstorrents-comes-back-new-domain-kat.html

Cappy1892
Nice work. good to see Homeland security involved the policing of the World Wide Web.Im pretty sure its common those who download torrents are one step away from shouting "allah akbar" before blowing them selves up. Just a thought , how about you look at removing the guns that kill thousands of your own citizens a year, before you decide to police the rest of the world
