  1. If you use the pb_sv_task function to create server messages in the console, a simple pb_sv_restart command will execute them once you've added the servermsgs.cfg to your pb folder and the exec command to your pbsv.cfg of pbsvuser.cfg. You don't need to reboot the server at all. One simple rcon command is all it takes.
  2. http://mycallofduty.com/ The X4 mod is by far one of the best I've seen.
  3. Ask www.punksbusted.com regarding that issue. We did not ban you, they did.
  4. When they fix the engine, I'll get excited. Patch the existing game first, and fix it properly, or the next release will be a failure!
  5. Without an actual error, or without a pb-kick of some sort, it's likely no one here can help you. We're a privately run anti-cheat site, and deal with cheats, and perhaps help with the odd-issue related to a game we play, if we play it. Game-issues that are directly relevant to the game and not anti-cheat are not something we aim to support, that is a bonus, if you get an answer, period! You need to be on BF-forums for support for their lack of thinking, and perhaps some solutions to fix them.
  6. http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticket/n...et.php?game=cod You can perhaps refine it to which version of CoD by clicking this link, and then appropriate game version..... http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php When you create the ticket, please include information such as driver revisions, hardware(re-your computer's hardware), currently running software, operating system, and anything else you think might be relevant, and ask the question..... "Is this a valid detection?" All of this based on wanting a timely reply, from them. Simply creating a ticket, with no information will likely lead to it being ignored like many, if it includes nothing to work with. Invalid detections come from a variety of issues, and can only be dealt with if more information is given, or it will be considered valid. A simple, "Why am I banned?" ticket with nothing to work with, will simply look like another cracker attempting to get past the system.
  7. Np, and I hope you get it sorted. Likely just the one server you're having issues with.
  8. If you were banned off their server(referring to your former clan) then it is likely they still have your pb_guid listed as a protected one within their own configs. That would take them removing them from their local server-list in their pb configs.
  9. I've used 80 since I grabbed the game. The original version of the game before any patching allowed changes, and I do believe up to the second patch before it was capped to 80. Anything higher than 80 is really only good for sniping anyways, otherwise it just makes your screen look really warped out of shape.
  10. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/226330.html 12 yrs of dev? Had fun with it back in the day, and still play Duke 3D once in a while for nostalgia. Anyone else?
  11. http://www.gametracker.com/search/cod4/ I use this one from time to time, although I seem to get a pretty steady 17-20,000 servers showing on my list without issue.
  12. Yup, I had a chuckle at the fact it has the same internal map name for it. It definitely is Carentan with a new skin, and nothing else.
  13. Need the actual kick-violation to say anything. As well, the game, but I'll assume CoD4.
  14. I just run ModernRcon in the background, and kick players for that, by minimizing the game. If they don't like it and come back with attitude, they get locally banned. Sucks to be them.
  15. If you're running a dedi-box, click Rock's link above. If you rent from a host, check in your control panel for an option to install. Gameservers.com, for example. Log into your control panel, click on the mods tab, and click the 1.6 patch install button. MyIs has a similar procedure, and they sent an e-mail to their clients related to it. I'm sure other major GSP's have rolled out something similar to make it easy for server-admin.
  16. Looks to me like there's already over 18,000 servers that have updated.
  17. gameservers.com and myinternetservices now have the patch server-side and ready for easy-update. I'm updating both of my servers as we speak, and I'd imagine a fair number will be once they realize they can download it client-side as well.
  18. There aren't a lot of servers running it yet, simply because today's release at Nvidia's site is client-sided. No server-sided patches have been released that I'm aware of yet. I am currently mid-way through updating my Windows server, and leaving my Linux server on 1.5 for the time being.
  19. The official release is tomorrow. Nvidia sponsored the release, thus SLi-zone members get it a day early, although the link seems to be public.
  20. Thus far no linux server files. I've got one server that's on Windows, until the end of the month. Should have it installed shortly, if anyone wants to try it out. IP 72.9.108.5:28960 If you can't get in, it's because I haven't finished the setup yet.
  21. While you're at it, if you find that these servers are not streaming here, perhaps they do not know about us. I recently came across a clan that didn't even know such sites as pbbans existed, and they are now happily streaming their servers here, with much relief from having to deal with cheating the hard way. As for undetected cheats. Those will always exist. Every single time a cheat is developed, it is released before the detections. It's a simple law of nature. If evenbalance, or pbbans, or any other anti-cheat site were psychic enough to be able to write detections for every new and upcoming cheat, we'd become gods. The cheat comes out first. Then, and only then, can detections be made for based on getting a copy of it. Since we do not pay for cheats, nor do we want our SGA's or forum members paying for cheats, this can be somewhat of a process to go through at times. Now, having gone through all that, said-cheat gets added to the detections list, cheat-coder then starts working on yet another new, undetected cheat, releases it....it's a viscious circle. It's also the reason why there are companies like evenbalance, and anti-cheats sites like pbbans.
  22. You can request this if you have a server for the game(not hosted at home, but rented from a known game-server provider), and are willing to stream to us. http://www.pbbans.com/information.php?page=starterguide Start with the link.
  23. Link to the ban please.
  24. Once you get your servers streaming to us, you can submit them in the appropriate forum section for review.
