Only GUIDs which are caught hacking will ever been banned here at PBBans, a full 32 digit PB GUID is the only sure fire way to know the player you are banning, is the one caught hacking. All this linking in MPI via IP address and alias matches for one is not only unreliable, mainly because most people don't know how to fully match and link a GUID together with another one, but can also be forged most of the time. If you really wanted to you could fake a player name, get lucky with a IP address link up and then you are tarring a completely innocent player. The effect of this becomes much worse when you talk of doing it across more than 1 game. The hub has now logged well over 10 million guids, you are gonna get alot of cross over unless you have experience in knowing what to look for. There is another lesser know reason to not witchhunt players, we only ban GUIDs and not players. Its better to give people chances in life or video games in this case for mistakes they make. In order to get a second chance alls they need to do is buy a new copy of the game, this is there punishment for hacking. Once they have served there sentence so to speak they should get a second chance. If you proceed to chase players away from games by banning them from all games with no hope of return, you are only gonna push them further underground and make them even harder to catch in the future. So long and short of it, he is free to go to the link above and follow instructions to appeal his ban with a trouble ticket at EB, but its highly unlikely they will lift his global ban, and with a global ban in place his appeal against his pbban will also be denied. If it is indeed a 50116 AIMBOT VIOLATION as you stated in your OP then most likely he has also acquired a GLOBAL ban from Evenbalance themselfs. We here at PBBans have no control over these bans and the only person who can lift them are the makers of Punkbuster themselfs. Go ahead and tell him to open a trouble ticket and appeal but until evenbalance lift there global ban (I have never seen one lifted yet) his appeal will be automatically denied here because of it. Remember that only the PC version has advanced features like text chat. If you gave every xBox owner a keyboard as well it would prob be a bit more balanced, I fail to believe that PC gamers are less mature than xBox gamers. We just have higher standards. Only if you are on a listening server, there is the choice of using dedicated servers in l4d and l4d2. And they do this while using a matchmaking system as well :P. Using a dedicated server I normally get normal dedi ping times, ie 30 to uk, 40 to nl 60 to de. Lag free gaming with matchmaking IS possible. FireStorm

As Duality said, if that is all you are and expecting then there is no problem. IW has brought on this hate upon themselves the PC community made them and the cod franchise what it is today, and they have clearly turned there backs on them. I would not waste the money on it tbh, there are far better games out there to spend your money on rather than spending it on a concept that is inherently flawed and broken. How many people have a decent enought connection in the UK to really support even a 12 player game? Not at a decent net rate it should be played at. COD WAW Zombies is laggy enough with 4 players (feels like I am predicting a quake rocket not a hit scan) and it can only work off the same constrights. You are right about the boycott thing is not gonna affect them much, as the sales has already surpassed record levels but I doubt this will mean P2P will become the norm in PC gaming. Well, I stopped playing the cod series at MW and only play WAW for the zombies mode. i did't even pre-order MW2 to start with because I knew the direction they were taking the game down with more perks and more kill streaks etc. Its funny really, they used to port the PC game to the console, now they are porting the console game to the PC. Theres no real question about it, the COD series has become mainstream and has descended into a console shoot em up. Not only has it been dumbed down by a long list of 'balance' changes (lean, kill streaks, player reductions, FOV) but the level of customisability has been cut to none. There are no admin tools (pb is great admin tool), there are no mods(custom maps) and there is not even a decent place to play anymore (100 ping anyone? good luck) Console players are fine with it because they are used to it. They are used to the narrow FOV and no leaning. They are used to the poor selection of maps and no updates. TF2 which is a game I play often now, was released for the PC and XBox, on the PC it now has 19 official maps, 18 new weapons and 4 new gametypes, all released free of change for the PC. It was not soo long ago that the XboX players were still playing on the same 5 yes thats FIVE original maps with none of the upgrades the PC had, and that was just the offcial content, not including all the custom content. Of course when the update did finally come out, not only did they not get the full update, microsoft made them pay for it. Guys this is starting to get off topic or rather into the pbss discussion / baz and friends discussion. This topic is just about the comments made about Rodeobob and his public reply. I did notice the fact the pb_plist did not show the GUIDs of the players. This could mean one of two things The Master Server is down which means players do not get assigned GUIDs or The server is cracked which also causes players to have 0 guids Either way, I ban could not had been placed as there is no GUID to place it on, even a 2 min kicked could not be enforced without GUIDs PBBans

So you base the argument we pm members all the time asking them not to do stuff based on one PM? I hardly call once 'all the time' . TBH PsB removing sigs is there choice at the end of the day and is something they have done it to quite a few people who have tried to show anything PBBans related in there sig, weather it be the normal server streaming sigs or just my staff sig shown below they also removed. Reasons for them making that choice? Well who knows the real reasons? They don't allow adversing and spam on there forums? Or they just don't want more admins finding out about other A/C options? But if so what happens if other admins do find out about other A/C sites, wait...... f*** me we might help catch more cheaters via dual streaming BUT there is a catch ...... another A/C site might get another number. I could go on and have already had a 'discussion' with PsB already about this but it was in PM's and its not my policy to post what was said in PM's on public forums. OK well working together is not really gonna happen no matter how much people want it to because there is now too much history between our to A/C sites for some people to let it happen there will always be someone to throw spanners in the works. But why do we NEED to go that far. We all know that PsB and PBBans are both large and respectable A/C sites, if I find a ban on a player from PsB, I am pretty sure it is a vaild ban and have no reason to think other wise, same goes for PBBans (Pre-Staff days). Nope they are on the Team Account and have SGA access. Maybe they removed you from the team account? You will need to get them to re add you in order for you to get your SGA access back. Piggy is set as Master of the team account so it is his choice at the end of the day who is on the team account so you will need to speak to him. PBBans

Mauwl your fourm account is not linked to any team account. The server IP your gave is listed under the 75thRangers. If you want to have higher access to the fourms then you will have to ask the 75thRangers account admin to add you to the the team account as a SGA. PBBans
