This fix is a few years old that i found while googl searching your problem. It seems I might have found the solution via using a fantastic peace of software called "Autoruns" (http://www.sysinternals.com/) in which you can see EVERYTHING that is automatically loaded in your computer (and it is really A LOT of stuff) Systematically I turned of different autostarting applications and tried to run BF2 to see whether or not I would be kicked out and suddenly I could play! After further investigation I found the single application that caused the problem and it was an application for hijacking sound and transfer it to an Apple Airport Express (quite niched app. but super-great for its purpose) - the name is "Airfoil" and is shareware from http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/windows/ - I had a BETA version 2 running and I have not yet tried the full version (and I do not intend to test it before the weekend, cause now I am roing enjoy great BF2 games 24/7 ) Tnx for your support - it

I have tried several different resolutions and have NEVER been able to duplicate those crosshairs.

I was finally able to get it streaming again via Remoteconsole per Benway's instructions.

They have looked into it and in fact have completely reinstalled PB for me. Just can't figure out why the file gets overwritten by the default after every restart.

Been a while since I have been able to get back to this. Server is streaming now, but I still can't get the PBbans cfg file to stick. Every restart causes an overwrite to the default files. I just looked and there is no pbucon.use file. How do I get that in there?

Wasn't pbsvuser.cfg file so I created one. Still doesn't work.

Auto setup doesn't support 1942 and tried through the RM and still nothing.

I have been trying to get my BF1942 server streaming for several hours now. I have uploaded teh pbsc.cfg to the correct location, but when I restart the server as per the instructions, the server loads the previous stock pbsv.cfg file. I have even deleted the stock file and replaced it with the new in the game control panel as well as the FTP, but upon restart, the old file replaces the pbbans cfg file. Am I doing something wrong?
