Do you really think it's going to change that much between now and a month or so from now when the Beta opens? I understand it is only one map, but this one map screams of a polished up BFBC2, only a lot smoother.
-
One word sums up my BF3 Alpha experience: Disappointed. Not a whole lot different from BFBC2 from what I see.
-
No wonder why the support has been, well, lackluster as of late. Certainly not going to be the same company now that you AND Andy are gone.
-
Not offended nor was my comment meant to offend or even defend/cheer for the game or EA. I just find that the game not being available on Steam as a reason not to buy is a little over the top.
-
So it won't be sold on Steam, big friggen deal. Some of you guys just find any reason you can to bring down something you may or may not be interested in.

Not much PBbans can do until Punkbuster detects the cheat he is using. He already has 2 bans and I would imagine a 3rd coming sometime in the future.
-
I just hope by "Recon" they don't mean BFBC2 recon style. Nothing worse than a sniper running around with auto weapons or shotguns but still having the benefits of the sniper accessories.

Buying used video games is great for gamers who don't want to pay full price for the latest hits. You know who doesn't like used video games? Game publishers. In a very sad twist, Capcom's fighting back against the second-hand game market with a game that can only support one save file — for life. It's been confirmed that Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is a game that once finished, cannot be reset for complete replay. According to both the U.S. and U.K. game's instruction manual "saved data on this software cannot be reset." Basically what Capcom has done is make Mercenaries 3D a one-time play affair. Once you've unlocked all the goodies and played the entire game, you will not be able to erase the game's save data and start fresh as if it were a new copy. Consider this: lending Mercenaries 3D to a friend, a little brother or sister will be worthless because they'll only be able to continue playing the game with your saved settings and create their own. We get that game publishers don't make any money off sales from used video games, but killing off the ability to hit the reset button is just taking things too far. It's like saying Upperdeck is entitled to a cut in my autographed Michael Jordan basketball card I sold at a garage sale for $10,000 some 25 years after I bought it. While it can be argued that used video game sales are actually more damaging than piracy, it's still a lowball move for Capcom to make, especially with a franchise as large and significant as the Resident Evil series. Will other publishers follow in Capcom's footsteps to take a stand against the lucrative market of used video games? We really hope this isn't a sign of things to come. I hope this game sells and plays VERY well. Could serve as a note to other devs that they are charging way too much for games these days.

You are not banned by PBbans, so you will have to take this up on that server's forums if they have any.
-
Looks like both of you at one time got the invalid GUID error during install. Was a major issue with 2142 at one point. The server admins obviously didn't take the time to fully research your names. If they had clicked on the banned GUID, they would have seen this message: "The guid you have entered is caused by having an invalid CDKey entered in Battlefield 2142. This guid is globally banned by evenbalance. If you are getting a ban message with this GUID try reinstalling Battlefield 2142"

Auto knife is....CODish. Bring back the old knife.

Seems to me that there are some in this thread that are looking for any reason to throw a negative comment at BF3 no matter how it turns out.
-
If they don't release Radiant, Mod tools are all but useless.
-
I repeat. NO COD for me.

As of earlier today, I had myself removed from the user list of a streaming clan (left the clan altogether) and started a new clan with a few other former members of the previous clan. When I tried to apply for streaming, I get a message that I had already applied and been approved a streaming account. The clan I originally applied with is currently still streaming (=SoC=. http://www.pbbans.com/forums/soldiers-of-chaos-soc-t78987.html ) Is it possible for me to ever apply with a new clan again?

Activision can kiss my ass
-
That's fine, but don't just claim that it's just a declining trend. Just say "we can make more money doing it ourselves".
-
It's a declining trend because they stopped giving the tools to do it. Some of the mods that have been created were better than the actual game. Sad that Devs think they are smarter than everyone else and no one can figure out how to use mod tools.
-
My experiences with lag were few and far between and those were mostly due to my own ISP
-
I click on the link and it tells me forum doesn't even exist.
-
Maybe if Devs would start putting some PC footage in teasers, we wouldn't be stuck watching useless console footage.
-
It's thier server therefor they can ban you for anything they want.
-
Being what appears to be a static IP, you can be pretty sure it was the player in question.

Imageshack is completely infected right now. I clicked that link and luckily my AV caught the virus. This has been a HUGE topic on the EVGA forums lately.
