  1. Flatline, you and I had a talk about streaming your server to PBBans. The conversation ended on a good note that you would stream when the PBBans system is running. That is an excellent choice to make for the admin community. The way I understand the IRC spamming problem is simple.....it is there for server admin in need of instant support for PB related issues or anti-cheat issues. PBBans.com is not only about SoF2.....it is about any game supported by PB. There are lots of channels on Quakenet that support SoF2 only and that allow advertising for wars/scrims etc. I was also told that this wasn't the first time a warning had to be given to folks who spam the channel. That is why we "moderated" the channel. This gives the channel operators the opportunity to warn individuals and then de-voice them. So try to understand what we are about and why the action was taken. I forsee the actions taken being reversed and all returning to normal once you agree not to spam for wars :)
  2. Hello The reason your account is at the "normal" user level versus the server admin level (for accessing the private forums), we could not validate your account fully as you did not list a website in your registration. You help us....we help you :)
  3. :D This is only a taste of what is yet to come.....I believe CJ doesn't want to shock everyone to death so he lets is seep out in bits. Damn good on ya CJ!
  4. I recently asked someone to stream their server to the repository. They responded with the general questions, "Why" "What does it entail" and such. The one question that had this person concerned and hesitant about streaming his server logs was the issue with the username and password that was required. He was "assuming" that since his game server and the repository had the same username and password that somehow we would be able to get into the ftp for his game server. FALSE The username and password are used as a security feature for the repository software. I used this example to help clear the cloudiness surrounding this myth: Lets say a server (your game server) wanted to send some encrypted emails to another server (the repository). Your game server gathers them into packets ready for shipment and adds the identifiers to them (the username and password) and sends them on their way to the receiving server (the repository). When this server receives these packets....it gathers them all together and looks at the identification on the label....then because it is a security threat.....it looks on its access list (the config file on the repository server) and notices that your username and password were listed. The receiving server allows the packets to be received and stored in the archives (the repository archives). However, if the identifiers did not match then the receiving server would ignore those packets and add entries in its error logs......therefore the encrypted emails that the server (your game server) sent would not be received and stored. To look at it another way.....the username and password are certificates of authenticity. Only the sender and receiver will have these certificates. These certificates will not grant the admin of PBBans access to your game server in any way. These certificates will also not grant you access to the repository ftp in any way. They are merely a "handshake". Is it still fuzzy? Did I clear it up....or did I dip your head in a mudpuddle?
  5. p_move violations are not added to the MBI.
  6. Some folks still having problems with setting up their server to stream. Here is a "sample" to follow: pb_sv_logaddr 63.171.64.22 pb_sv_logport 24389 pb_sv_loguser EKTClan pb_sv_logpw nooblers pb_sv_writecfg These commands should be entered through the console with RCON capabilities (best to do it using HLSW, All Seeing Eye, or a program similar). It is important to note.....that the top two lines must be exactly like the ones in the sample. Do not put your game server ip and port in.....it won't work.
  7. :onfire: That is what I feel like......lots of fires to put out......the RTCW bans list will be updated this afternoon. :P
  8. Willy, The issue was resolved.....and your access was restored to the private area......why continue to beat the dead horse. Dep was doing what I asked him to do....starting with the first registered user and going to the last....and revalidating each account. We then placed each of those revalidated accounts into groups depending upon their status within their own cland/group...as well as what games they played. At the time of the revalidating, your information reflected OS.....Dep did what was asked and when he came to yours and went to the OS site it showed that you were retired. He asked that the information be updated. For the time being he placed you in the normal user group awaiting a reply/update. Now, here we are a few weeks lata....with the whole issue resolved....but now we have attitudes? Can we not drop the issue?
  9. Dep, I have re-added Willy back to the Private users. Folks, you have to understand that we are trying our best to keep this site running as tight as possible.
  10. It has been announced that changes to the forums were taking place. We started by a complete revalidation of all currently registered members. There were some accounts where folks haven't logged on in over 90 days. Those accounts were deleted. The next part was assigning permissions to the groups people were placed in. Zna, you and I have had long history together. I can empthatize with you in some respect. I am not 100% positive why your account was removed originally....but it is likely that you fell into the 90% deleted area. When your account was recreated....and was revalidated.....you did not fit the requirements to be placed into the "Server Admin" group so you were added to the normal user. In either location you can still succeed in helping individuals with their PB problems....with your server knowledge, etc. Willy, we have been through this and I also empthatize with you as well. Your issue is still being looked into. As far as us being on a friendly playing field with "the other site"....I don't rightly believe that will happen. Each of the sites offer a variety of things and both are different in many ways. I am not gonna start a bashing war of whose site is better than others. I will tell you that no matter how folks feel about PBBans now.....they will all need to increase their medical insurance prior to the official PBBans system being unveiled. Would hate to see lots of folks die of a stroke prematurely cause they didn't have insurance. The staff here at PBBans will work hard to make everyone's stay enjoyable and will go out of our way to help you with your server and PB problems. If you have any problems or concerns with any of the staff or admin at PBBans, send me a PM....and I will do my best to resolve the problem. (Note: Patience is key)

    Hi Guys

Time to take a stand.......this tard is constantly running in circles like a two-legged dog. It is one thing to tout that he is a reformed cheater....but the consistent attacking on the admin here had to stop. Account Deactivated. Let's move on.
  12. Wow....he was dumb enuf to have 2 accounts.....and have one deactivated....and one deleted.
  13. That avatar matches perfectly for "SFA".....wonder if it is a real photo of him. (A goofy-ass noobler stuck "in" the box!)
  14. Hey everyone look.....the first dumbass to get his account deactivated.
  15. To where? They are not making it to our repository.....and you would need to send me the username and password you entered so I can setup the pbbans config.

    Hi Guys

So let me see if I understand this correctly, you as saying that if we lift the ban you will stream to us? Why do you keep saying that this person is not you? All of the evidence at hand points in your direction. As far as sending us your logs, and banning you from that.....if you send us your server logs (in good faith) we will not use them to add bans to the MBI. However, if you set your server up to stream to the PBBans repository all future violations listed in the logs will be added to the MBI. Therein lies the difference....you zip up your server logs and send those to me....then those will not be used. You set up your servers to stream....all future PB violations will be added.

    Hi Guys

Why not set your fat piped servers up to stream to the repository?
  18. First off, the bans listed on the MBI have to have proof to back them up. Without all of the proof to back up this demo.....it wont be added. The demo alone...hell that is easily faked. This has already been explained over and over again. Now BadAzz...reformed cheater.....turn your caps lock off. You say you want to help? Then prove your words are credible.
