xX_Renegade_Xx
I've not seen this before as far as I'm aware: As another measure we are setting up "thresholds" for statistics and in-game actions, that if breached, flag the account for review Game looks very good, I've registered for that, thanks for the links
xX_Renegade_Xx
Question for you Super Taz. I got a key for the closed beta and I'm downloading the game now, I already have PBSetup on my PC but I'm not seeing the game listed, is it automatic, has it been included in the game yet or do I need to do something else? SuperTaz
PB does not protect beta games, only full games. You will not see the game on PB Setup until the game is fully released by the developers.

xX_Renegade_Xx
If anyone knows a good place that allows a 2GB upload and unlimited download speed let me know. You could try dropbox, it allows 2GB upload but not sure about download speeds. http://www.dropbox.com/ Edit: PB has been updated but I did get an error message too, re-running it was fine and it says I'm running the latest version so I presume it's updated and ready to go. xX_Renegade_Xx
Now Postponed: Closed Beta Phase 4 moved to Friday January 20th at 5PM Hello Blacklight fans. During the process of implementing and testing the latest server updates this week needed for Phase 4, Zombie Studios the developers of Blacklight Retribution, were hit by the snow and ice storms in the Pacific Northwest. This has slowed our progress on fixing some database issues that still remain. We're sorry for the delay, we are working hard to make sure everything runs smoothly in this upcoming phase. Thank you. xX_Renegade_Xx
Recently posted by one of the devs :) You read it right. Closed Beta Phase 4 for Blacklight: Retribution will be kicking off at 2:00 PM Pacific TODAY (today meaning Thursday, 1/26, of course). Apologies for the long delay, I know all of you are basically dying of BLR starvation at this point. The wait is nearly over!

AKA BANDIT
Are any of you having PB problems with the new phase of the Beta? First day I was getting kicked for PB not updated and now I'm getting kick for files missing or corrupted, even though I've run PBSetup and tried both the pbsvc.exe at the Evenbalance site and the pbsvc_blr.exe file from the Perfect World site. I've had a problem ticket in with Evenbalance for about 36 hours now with no response.
SuperTaz
I have no problems with punkbuster. I used the PB Setup tool and allowed PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB in my firewall. And I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

AKA BANDIT
I've been getting kicked for "Punkbuster missing or corrupted" even though I've run pbsetup, as well as pbsvr and pbsvr_blr about 20 times. Evenbalance wasn't much help so far. After about two days I got a response to my trouble ticket saying "try pbsetup again" even though I had 8 different updates that I posted to the ticket on what I had tried so far. http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a25/AKA_BANDIT/BLR2012-01-2809-18-46-32.jpg However I think I figured out the problem on my own, but not how to fix it. PnkBstrA does not appear to be starting PnkBstrB when the game is launched. I checked the task manager while I was in-game before I got kicked and PnkBstrB.exe WAS NOT running. PnkBstrA was running. Is there any way to manually start PnkBstrB? I only seem to have this problem with Blacklight because I went to several SOF2 PB enabled servers to see if I would kicked for the same thing and I had zero problems with SOF2. SuperTaz
Make sure PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB are set to "Allow" in your firewall. If they are not in your firewall, then create an exception for them.
PBStaff_Nick
@ Bandit it could be your Anti-virus, turn of your AV run a full pb update using PB Setup and then join a server to see if the same thing happens again. you may have to set exceptions for PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB in your AV if that does not work then please log a support ticket and one of the support guys can take a look at it
AKA BANDIT
I appreciate you guys trying to help, but as it worked fine in SOF2 it wasn't a firewall or anti-virus problem. As for Evenbalance support, they were not very much help and took an average of about 2 days (total of about 7 days) for each of their responses (total 3) to my detailed updates (total 15) in which I told them exactly what the problem was and what I had already tried. The problem was PB services were not recognizing the Blacklight game and not starting, even though they worked fine in other games. I fixed the problem completely on my own by figuring out that un-installing Blacklight and then re-installing it may allow PB to recognize it and start, which it did. Pray you never have a PB problem you can't fix, cause you're looking at weeks with Evenbalance support unless it's an obvious fix.
