PB Drops COD and COD2 Support

Their last update was in 2009 so don't think a lot of things will change cuz of this :P

they were still able to detected some cheats without updating their client, such as the *poof*.

nevertheless, the major issue on cod2 are the private cheat pages which didnt get detected by PB in the last time anyway.

after a kwick research there has been a new AiMBOT @cod2 violation jan. 2012, so don't mix up 'public' (visible) updates with (no) support. Anyway the core feature are master servers, when they go offline there will be no GUiD anymore ...

PBSetup does not update the Call of Duty or Call of Duty 2 with the latest Punkbuster anymore. So when you've just installed CoD/CoD2 and you want to update your punkbuster for not getting kicked for having too old punkbuster client. It will be a problem.

 

Anyone know anything about how long the Master server will continue to stream?

But ya, CoD and CoD2 are pb legacy games which does require the legacy setup to be updated as well.

The punkbuster legacy dl does not work anymore. It will update pbupdate first and not update the legacy games.Anyone got the version 1.229 of pb?

I did all the steps as it sad, and after that pb even balance update restart and when i try to update again there is no cod2 on the list, and there is the same problem. any new version or something?

Can anyone explain this carefully? I'm a noob at these. But when I tried the downloads, they were 3.7 version of PunkBuster, that version DOES have Call of Duty in it, you can select it, but annoyingly it ALWAYS updates it to the latest version of PunkBuster BEFORE being able to get Call of Duty done, and the 3.8 version doesn't have it. 

 

Please, I've tried doing everything, InfinityWard/Activision/EvenBalance don't give me any help whatsoever
