For a while I could not log into here. 2020 has been a difficult year for many and sadly it has hit someone in our community. HSMagnet who joined the PBBans community in 2008 suddenly passed away on Sunday. He devoted countless hours helping keep our community running and served as a valued staff member for over 4 years. He will be dearly missed. We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family during this time. Some may have noticed we were offline for a few hours yesterday as the DB server OS was upgraded. It went off without any issues. However our main server was done today but had some upgrade issues and took a lot longer to get back online. Long story short the old OS version 7 is hitting end of life status next month and will not be receiving any more updates. Therefore our servers needed to be updated to a newer version which is now complete.

As 2023 comes to an end, we wish to extend our best wishes to our community members this holiday season. This year marked our 20th anniversary of fighting cheaters. Hard to believe it's been 20 years and so much as changed from anti-cheat software to the games themselves. To our donors, streaming admins and other supporters, we wish to thank you for all your support to keep PBBans alive throughout this past year. A big thank you to RedKilla, CU – DizzyKipper and }TG{TommyGun for going above and beyond to help keep our community online this year. We hope others will consider donating in 2024 if they are in a position to do so. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at PBBans.

Here we are at the end of another year. 2020 has not been good for many largely due to the pandemic. Death tolls, shutdowns, job losses, gathering restrictions and more has hit many hard this year. Sadly many people have either lost their jobs or have suffered a decrease in income due to the pandemic. We hope others will consider donating in the new year if they are in a position to do so. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us at PBBans and we hope 2021 will be a much better year for everyone.

Changed the xmas one a bit this year .

I've been watching and noticing the same 10 or 12 people donating each month. Out of 15,948 teams and 184 streaming servers that is really a poor show. When you need PBBans help, when you need to cross-reference the story and history of a person who wants to join your clan, you will be sorry that you didn't give a little bit of money each month to PBBans to keep it going. Does no-one care now? I've heard clan leaders say that they know X has a ban, but they are not going to do anything about it, because it's not in a game they play any more. Or it was years ago. Or maybe the members like him/her and they don't want the person to leave, admins don't want to rock the boat. Where is the backbone? Or maybe it's too much effort to look someone up, check the records, cross-reference the history. That is just laziness. There is so much info in these databases. If you've never been able to see the GUID history because you didn't have access, you've missed so much. It's essential for checking accounts. Now you have the chance to use it if you donate. DO IT! If we are short each month, PBBans will close. You won't get the chance to check players again in this way. Don't lose it!
