Also, the MPI keeps track of any tags that the player wears as part of the name. If they have always worn a clan tag, just searching an exact match for the actual player name will come up with nothing as well. Your GUID is based on your CD-Key. So unless the player installed with the same cd-key on every computer he plays on, he will have a different guid. Gaming centers usually have 20-30 computers. Each computer will have a different guid.

Oh I think bf2ahd is known, I just don't think there are very many providers running linux who can (or are willing to) use it.

Yes it is a bug, although I have never seen it happen while not at a spawn point. No you shouldn't get banned for it since PBBans requires 2 punkbuster screen shots showing reduced/no fog to add a ban for that. And, since it is a glitch that happens at spawn points (and you can't move), it is pretty easy to spot as being just a glitch anyhow. If it did happen to slip through the one admins eyes, there are a lot more that also review each individual ss.

Don't expect it to be perfect.

I like the idea of destructible environments, but this being a console port is going to make it fail. And also, 24 player servers? What happened to the 64 player servers that do so well? Anyhow, I want the bf2 patch.

Personally, I don't agree with a couple of the "tweaks". Some of them, if I had the option, I would locally kick/ban for. Particularly removing the blur from nades, removing sounds, increasing the volume of others. Overall though, not a hack yet. Maybe soon.

It is legal since you can go and change all of the same settings yourself. They are all in the local files. Effectiveness of this tool is debatable though.

I have seen this happen. I do believe it is a part of a hack that is available and undetected right now as far as I can tell. As far as I know, there is no way to stop it either. Best advice is to stream to as many services as possible and keep a close eye out for suspicious players. I find that usually, people who crash my server, are people who I have banned before and are now out to get me. If that is the case, usually an IP ban is the easiest solution. Big_Guy21

As far as I know, you can not remove the |ccc| from the messages. For the !say command, I do not believe there is a way to change this. However, I have not looked through all of the modmanager files looking for it either. (Most servers don't have access to change these files anyway). You can get the text sent through the bf2cc chat box to be big and orange (or green), but once again have to have access to the modmanager.con file. I was having the problem where i had to input the password for every picture that loaded too. I was however using ftp://[username]@[iP address]/COD4/pb/svss/msgpbssv.html. I didnt put the password in the web address and entered it manually once i connected to the site. When i put the password into the web address I was never asked again.
