Likely because the update has features they will announce at E3. So we have to wait until they do that. However console version have been playing the new patch for a while now.

Must admit not interested in the slightest in BF3 Elite .. err Premium. Might be ok for the first few weeks but I doubt many admins will run maps that kill a server when switching from stock to an expansion.

Nothing to worry about. It's a custom md5 check a server admin has added to his/her server. Not sure why as it's a stock config file the game uses. If I recall it just means the check tried to read 404 bytes (SZ404) but the file was smaller so it gave that READ_FAIL error instead. EDIT: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=md5tool.php
