You're best bet is to get PBSS of the players you suspect and submit them for review: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/screenshot-review-area-f117.html a PBSS similar to the link you provided, would most likely receive a ban, if it came from a streaming server of course. But I am not a staff member and I'm not sure they would comment on this outside of the SGA forums. I was just commenting on the fact that detecting players running RivaTuner would be no use because of its other uses, and dominance in the overclocking arena.

PBSS would be the best way to confirm graphical anomalies, if there is missing foliage, where you know there should be. I would be careful to label RivaTuner as an application for cheaters, it is indeed very powerful and maybe too much so for its own good, but every major GPU distributor has a watered down RivaTuner branded application out. EVGA precision, MSI afterburner are all watered down versions of RivaTuner. Mostly used to make overclocking profiles and dynamic fan adjustments.

Just a quick side question, when EvenBalance drops support for a game does that mean there will be no more PunkBuster enabled servers or just PunkBuster will no longer be updating from said point onwards?

I think you mean "state of the art" lol but really something is needed. How do these guys operate though once a submission is approved. Do they put out a global ban list for server administrators to download? Or just submit a list to Kaos Studios? The last bit sounds like nothing will actually ever happen

I think that's pretty common these days with devs, once the game is completed they no longer need the staff that was required in the development phase. The staff left is usually just for minimal support patches then later down the road a build up for new products, wash and repeat.

Worked fine for me from Windows update, just takes hella long to download for some reason think that particular file is getting hammered. The update itself also takes awhile, and will prompt for a restart half way through. Windows 7 x64 Professional

I'm going to say what I said on the FLOT forums to this news: Ehhh, I'm actually fine with this. More than fine actually, I'm tired of them spreading themselves too thin across too many platforms and games. A Focus on Battlefield 3 is the best decision I could hope for, we want a real battlefield title and a finished product deserving the name we've come to enjoy over the years. I had completely forgotten about the Onslaught Mode, and really 1943 had just become a running joke about DICE. I look forward to the outcome and return of a squad centric battlefield

The same can be said about Windows. If you guys love vb 3.x so much I wouldn't think you would mind. My worst experience with vbulletin wasn't the direct result of of them but rather a pay theme/style design company I've gotten burned by. I won't mention their names because I'd rather not advertise them, but they use to offer themes for both vbulletin and IPB, and slowly started lapsing on their vbulletin theme updates, and then just stopped completely stating that they would redo all their themes when 4.1 rolled out. Well 4.1 rolled out and they announced they were dropping vbulletin all together, leaving their vbulletin customers high and dry, many of which weren't upgrading their vbulletin suites because they were waiting on promised theme updates. I really have no experience with the other side of the fence here, because once you invest in one package you really have to stick with it. With that said I can only comment on my experiences with vbulletin, and while I have had problems, I'm a satisfied user.

Have either of you used vbulletin 4.x? As a member of a vbulletin based community that has stuck through vbulletin 4.x since its inception it certainly felt like that in the beginning though that was sometime ago. I'd say since 4.0.2 its been great. Worst part was having no themes ported for 4.x when it was first released. Plus vbulletin.org is a great community with all sorts of mods/plugins/themes. You name it they have it for vbulletin there. With that said I'm pretty happy with vbulletin 4.1.0 and the support for the product.

4th playthrough of single player I played through it once on Veteran and some of those choke points I definitely don't want to go through a second go around. Though after playing veteran it's far from a second go around. It's pretty tough with the infinite spawns the AI has, you can't just clear a room and sit back. What level did you play it on?

Then use the first list. That list won''t show which servers are running the full PBBans package like PBSS, MD5 Scans, Bind Scans, or CVAR checks, but you can individually hit the MSI link to see what the particular server makes use of. It won't necessarily tell you which servers are actively using those checks but it will tell you which servers are at least better protected by having players banned by those additional tools. EDIT: I lied if their hub flags include, for instance: Then you can be certain they make use of those checks, If however they only have the Accept flags like Then they may or may not also manually update the MD5 checks, but will at least have players banned by those tools caught elsewhere also banned on their server Also yes if the video is taken from the in game tool and given to the server admin it can be submitted. Things like xfire/Fraps will not. Hope this helps
