lol oh god no, then it will turn into Left 4 Dead 2 griefing.

Juicy, however even if it is battle recorder for BF3 you guys need first person perspective to accept demos right? Will definitely make it easier for admins that want to check players out on their own if implemented. Here's hoping

Nope, its an or thing so there are multiple ways to get that 48 hour early access. 48 Hour Early Access to the Open Beta What it is: A 2 day (48 hours) early access to the Battlefield 3 Open Beta starting in September 2011. Where to get: By pre-ordering the digital download PC version of Battlefield 3: Limited Edition on Origin or by being a first-hand Medal of Honor: Limited Edition or Medal of Honor: Tier 1 Edition player. Available: 48 hours before the Open Beta goes public for everyone. I mean if someone buys a whole game for only one reason I think they are setting themselves up for that. It was a game you bought and not a get in early card. It was in addition to

Hey and we were all complaining about people paying extra for all this crazy shit, and referencing that Mona Lisa game development meme. From what I can see all this is now at no additional cost to us. If anything DICE and EA should be getting a smooth thank you for flipping the bird to the other guys with all the goodies we are getting with the game instead of paying extra for after the fact.

I don't ever want to visit that site again

I'm not really reading it like that. I think its just more of a DRM system that needs a connection to call home constantly and without it you will be locked out. It's not forcing you play with other people just forcing you to communicate to a master server somewhere. Think steam but with no offline mode The gist I got, but I haven't read into it

BF2142 und Demo-Analyzer
Crotan replied to Silent-Rain's topic in Generelles Diskussions Forum (Öffentlich)
not really what your were looking for but http://www.ggc-stream.com/ might be a better place to ask since they accept demos for 2142. They probably are more up-to-date with tools for analyzing 2142 demos -
I'm sure you'll find a similar clause in just about any digital download service, Steam and Direct2Drive included. This is why you backup your installers if able
-
It's not really that much. The last items are for a completely different game. The shotgun and beret are for BF:play4free. The special avatar junk for xbox 360 is nothing special, all EA games have done that. People who want that shit will pay for it The only thing I didn't know about on that list was the SPECACT kits and the dogtag pack

lol i guess wordwrap doesn't work on numbers

and then you have developers like CD Projekt RED who encourage multiple play throughs because of all the content that you won't see the first go through from all the choices you make throughout the game that change the story. Developers sometimes have a way of shooting themselves in the foot, the more they lock down their games for paying customers the more they boost the cracking community. It's a tough position they are in, and they'll have to learn from their mistakes like the rest of us.

Awesome!
-
i guess that means they are getting closer to offering dedicated servers for the public to rent then?
-
pst, put it on youtube
-
oh that's good. I just didn't see any PC boxart or windows logo at the end
-
too bad no PC version, the display of information and everything looks very slick, but I don't think their last two installments did very well on the PC anyway. I always thought the running felt awkward in GRAW 2.

PunkBuster coming to Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad
Crotan replied to MaydaX's topic in Announcements
That's an interesting development, and sounds like great news -
If they worked for Take-Two, they would be making console games like everyone else.
-
eh I'm not surprised they had a live stream going, where they were asking players and developers that did get in what they thought. Last thing you want is some COD developer, on live stream, going yea it's good but its better in ... where you do this. Funny enough, pretty sure one of the developers that did get to play was from respawn entertainment
-
Right, I agree with you. I would love to see a return of 6 man squads. But two of the things that made squads no where near as effective as prior titles was the lack of ingame voip and no designated squad leader.
-
yea but a designated squad leader! and in game voip working off the bat goes a long way to get teamwork going! That Ustream live video from the EA E3 event really answered a lot of questions, several interviews with BF staff and great footage of the ingame players on operation metro. Hopefully they post the full video on youtube or similar later
-
as much as I hate being revived with an empty clip, I think an opt out of revive feature would be counter intuitive. No auto knife on the other hand sounds amazing
-
That's not true, you just haven't been paying attention. Operation Metro is a multiplayer map. Rush mode no less. All in game multiplayer footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPu7-LtLKmU not sure, but the media embed feature's not working for me

Just a personal preference thing, but I think the image banner ads look better than the text ones. Gaming companies and the like usually do a good job of making flash ads comparatively to just basic text ads. Think it's probably better for the unregistered users viewing experience
