It looks to me like something is forcing your server back to a default setting, probably a cronjob or something similar that forces a daily server restart in the wee hours when no ones about. I used to do the same with all Jolt public servers I headed up. The restart will probably automatically exec a cfg that does not include your PBBans ucon settings. Thats my take on things :) The PBBans staff member on irc was not being offhand about your situation, its just that we know for sure that the problem is not on the PBBans side of things. Looks like a classic case of the customer not being always right and getting the runaround.

I'm completely at a loss as to how we can make setting up Hub streaming any simpler. Any suggestions welcome. http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?aut...&showfile=9 If you tried the rcon/bf2cc method of initiating streaming and nothing appeared in your root pb folder, the first thing I would check is if your server gives a response to a bog standard pb command. i.e pb_sv_homepath (this will give you the exact location of your pb root directory)

To maintain the stringent quality standards we employ here, pbss submissions must be backed up by streamed log information, before the submitted pbss is even looked at the md5 hash of the pbss must match the streamed log information. Any pbss submissions that have no streamed log information will never make it to the PBBans MBI. This totally eliminates the "I was framed" whine.

The appeal system we have in place works just fine. The GUID xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx53fdc54b is not on our ban list. ( this is displayed when you enter the full 32 hexadecimal pbguid or the last 8 ) 3 questions for you; What leads you to believe your on the PBBans MBI ? Do you have the web link that returns just a blank screen ? Whats the exact kick message you receive ?

You need to apply for a team account using 1 server IP:Port. http://www.pbbans.com/account_application.php Once you have access to your team account you can add/edit/delete servers yourself :) We like to give as much control as is possible to the guys and gals that actually pay for the server(s). The one thing to remember when adding servers yourself, is that the when you add the server(s) to your team account the server is then placed in a queue, the final addition to the PBBans Hub is always done by a staff member in case theres a problem, so a slight delay may be experienced between adding the server to your team account and the server actually showing as streaming in the MSI. If a problem occurs on addition, the team account holder will be sent a forum pm containing their current team account details and a quick fix solution.

Your pbguid is derived from your game cd key, so no change there :) As for the rest, I have just started playing cod4 myself so not certain what happens when a fresh install of windows is applied.

You answered your own question :P For any streaming method to work, PB must be enabled. Servers that stop streaming are auto de-activated after 7 days and completely removed from our systems after 30 days of non streaming.

Just to reassure everyone, EvenBalance staff are aware of this problem and working on a fix.

Game specific cvars are always just suggestions :) On a personal level, I always configure my own game/server specific settings and rely on PBBans to take care of the cheat related side of things. Just to highlight a couple of things in previous post's, our mci manager (Benway) is more like a machine than a man :P I have never known anyone as thoruough and efficient as he is, and when he took over the management of the mci he made very short work of getting rid of a lot of useless checks that served no purpose. We also have the PBBans Hub that helps us detect the private cheats that are circulating about and when you combine the Hub with the PBBans mci you can rest assured that your server(s) are getting the best protection humanly possible.

The simplest solution is to find a server were your welcome :)
