that error is prevalent on 1 server in my favs ...the rest are normally ok and the easiest way around it is to delete the ETkey file in main and reconnect to the server ... i might add that it is the only thing that works on that particular server as well (have tried every other method)

thats why i have always pushed at every opportunity for hardware bans to be made a matter of course for any hack offence that is pb detected :)

this is standard on the jolt forums; 1. Load up RTCW multiplayer 2. Bring down the console (should be the tilde key - above tab) 3. Type \pb_myguid and hit return 4. Type \condump guid.txt and hit return This will create a text file in your Return To Castle Wolfenstein/Main folder named guid.txt containing the text from the console. Copy and paste the GUID from there and include it in any communication about a ban. Don't copy and paste your CD key.

hi Raistlin, :) welcome to the forums m8 ... a bit belated but i've been away for a while .. from what i can remember the older versions of shrub had a crashing exploit that was resolved in the later releases,so maybe a shrub upgrade would serve you best if you can stand the update to 1.41... personally i do not have wolfplayer as a badname because its the default player name of anyone not familiar with name changing :) but i only allow one on the server at a time as i have pb set to kick for duplicate names after 90 seconds ... pb_sv_dupNameGrace 90 ... maybe thats another way around your problem ... all the names on my badnames list last exactly 60 seconds before a kick is applied

seems a lot of COD players are getting kicked for "Violation (PB HACK) #130201" this in turn generates a ban that is imposed by evenbalance .. this violation kicked in after a PB update around 8pm cet ...my advice to anyone who has been on the receiving end of this violation is to sit tight ... if you need to vent some of that frustration mail [email protected] ... an obvious false positive like this is normally sorted out pretty quickly :D

Yes (under Win XP Pro or Win 2K). This can be accomplished by setting certain privileges for the user that will run the game. To do this, first temporarily log in as an Administrator. Then go to Control Panel => Administrative Tools => Local Security Policy. This will open up the Local Security setting window. Expand the Local Policies folder and select User Rights Assignment. This will bring up a list of security settings for the computer. You will need to add the user that will be launching the game to have the following privileges.
