Eternity57
Hi, We've got some trouble to stream our BFBC2 team server (check our account for IP reference). There are different tutorial regarding config file (some with only one cfg file and one *.use and some with several *.cfg and without *.use), we follow your tutorial and set up with pbsv.cfg and pbucon.use but we do it : > without guardian via punkbuster command because it does not work (no echo of our command and no effect on file) > we manage cfg and use file directly with our server provider web console. We also use your 'automated Hub setup' but it seem's to have no effect on pbsv.cfg file when we look after on our server !? even if there are no error log on our 'automated Hub setup'. We do not know how to check if pbbans configuration is up and running on the server after restart. We set up reference and description of our server on our account. It comes with 'pending admin approval' but now it is 'inactive'. No way to know why ! Need help. On other cfg file (at this time we do not use), it is about some Clan ID reference ! is it equal to Account ID ? Eternity from FrTrpl team. Big_Guy21
PBBans configs would be written to the pbsv.cfg. From the attached image, you are using the join port (19680) for the auto hub setup rather than the RCON port. The default RCON port is 48888. Try that, if that doesn't work, ask your provider what the RCON port is.
Everson
Side note here, thought the automated web tool failed if the join port was used?

Everson
Remove the server from your account and add it with the join port. ServersNot Streaming 195.72.154.42:19680 (BFBC2) Team has 1 server(s) The automated hub setup uses the RCon port but your account needs the join port. If my GT result is correct then you need to add 195.72.154.42:19580 to your account.
Eternity57
Thank guys, For information : > RCON port is : 19680 > 'Join' port is : 19580 We assume to use RCON port because we give also RCON password in the procedure, for RCON commands within automated procedures/configuration... :scratchchin: In summary from your clues ;) : > for server account we give join port - ok we will change ! it has been change now... > for automated tools we give rcon port !? - this is ok but it fails to update or overwrite pbsv.cfg - So what can we do then ? But we copy manually command directly inside pbsv.cfg file so it should be connected to the hub !? then why pbbans does not report streaming activities ? RaDiaTioN, on Apr 06, 2010 - 02:31 AM, said: Side note here, thought the automated web tool failed if the join port was used? Yep, it does. What about port in use ? > you talk about join port but it 'always in use for players !? > regarding RCON port for RCON use it should support multiple active connection even it is not recommended. But yes we use guardian in the same time we use pbbans web setup tool. So we will try without any other RCON tools... So it is not clear which port we have to use for 'automated Hub setup' ?As far as I can understand there is no link between usage of join port and use of rcon port ? Eternity57
yes, it is set by default and we won't change it (It is set in the printscreen attached to the first post). Then could you check if settings are correct in the pbsv file we have post before. If it is not correct then can you give us the code we have to put in pbsv file then we will write manually. So in this case streaming should works !?

Lucky_Fr4gg3r
You stated: For information :> RCON port is : 19680 > 'Join' port is : 19580 I can't find any server using 195.72.154.42:19580 I do however find a server on 195.72.154.42:19680 which means you've entered the RCON port in your server manager. Delete it and re-add using the join port as suggested in previous replies in this thread. Just to clarify it once more: When adding the server to your team account use the join port When using the automated hub setup, use the RCON port Edited April 8, 2010 by Lucky_Fr4gg3r
Pisi-Deff
1) Server is still added to your account with the query port. Webtool uses RCON/query port. UCON uses join port. Delete and readd with correct port :) 2) pbucon.use file does not need to contain any information, as it is not read by the server. It just needs to exist in the pb folder for UCON to work. ;) ~ /*Pisi*/

Any other advice !? yes punkbuster option on server is activated ! ;) Yes guardian works for kicking, changing maps, etc... but no effect on punkbuster command ! Is there others things to do, to enabled punkbuster commands ? on server ? fozzer
First of all let me clarify that the correct command for checking the version of PB that is installed on a server is pb_sv_ver :) If you are not getting a response from your server to the above command (using guardian) Ask your GSP (Game Server Provider) to reinstall a fully updated version of PB on your server. Then try http://www.pbbans.com/info-center-hubguide.html#bc2g or http://www.pbbans.com/webtool.php to initiate streaming. Once the commands have been sent use the server checker on our main website to check the streaming status of the server; * It should be noted that because the server is already added to your team account, if the streaming is initiated correctly, it will kick in immediately. * It should also be noted that signatures update every 2 hours to reflect a servers streaming status. Last but not least, there is this to bear in mind as well; http://www.pbbans.com/forums/pb-ucon-session-x-timed-out-t117514.html
