Server Blacklisted- no clue or notice as to why...

I'm curious as to why one of my dedicated servers has been blacklisted. I've never given anyone any reason to blacklist anything that I'm aware of. please look into this. thank you.

oh BTW it is a home server, but it's DEDICATED so if that's the issue I'm not certain why it is as it's a Dedicated server. the ip was 68.99.5.198.

thank you.

" PBBans will only allow streaming from dedicated servers and not from LAN or personal computers."

so never mind, but I'd just like to say:

mine IS a dedicated server, in fact I run several with 5 MBPS uplload dedicated, regardless if it's my home server or not. however I'm not here to fight your policy. thanks for what you all do!

sorry bro,

10 different GUIDs on the MPi for that IP

no IP that appears on the MPi can stream a server

miss your KF server, btw

the KF server is hosted on that ip...

ok so I'm confused. I've never been banned from a server in my life for any reason to my knowledge, and this is my personal IP from my ISP that I've had for months...the only person playing here is me and my son. could you please help me out a bit here? I don't have access to actually SEE who's on that list that you linked to, of an IP that I've had for months, and have been the only one playing on it, with no cheats anywhere to be found. I'm concerned as I'm the most ethical non-cheating dude on the planet, second to all of you fine people. what am I missing here?

From our requirements: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/streaming-application-requirements-t82423.html

Servers:

Servers MUST be hosted at a data centre. This means that you can rent a server off a Game Server Provider (GSP), co-locate your server or rent space on a dedicated server in a data centre.

Any server that is situated at home or in your home office/business that you can access via your network is not acceptable. There is no reason that you should be able to play the game on the same IP as the server that you wish to stream to PBBans.

We will automatically deny any application where we find the server is not hosted at a data centre.

We will automatically deny any application if the server IP does not resolve to a data center.

We will automatically deny any application if the server IP is the same as the applicants.

We will automatically deny any application were the submitted website has racist or pornographic content.

We will automatically deny any application if the applicant appears on the MBI (Master Ban Index)

We will automatically deny any application if clan members appear on the MBI (Master Ban Index)

Your server doesn't pass the first half of these requirements list. We blacklist any server when the server IP is on the MPi (aka someone is playing the game from that IP).

No one has made any mention of cheats.

What your missing, is the fact that the servers you run are from a residential internet connection, and as such have been blacklisted by our systems.

We do not allow servers that are run from a place of residence use of our services.

You are, of course, welcome to try another streaming service that is not bothered about quality of service.

1. Terms & Definitions

1.1 Game Server - A game server shall be defined as a network server running a program that acts as a hub for clients to connect to for the purpose of interaction. For the purposes of clarification, PBBans will only allow streaming from dedicated servers and not from LAN or personal computers.

Bottom line, I appreciate what you do here, and have for the better part of 3 years. I'm very serious about the entire reason your organization exists, and I thank you personally for all of the administration help you have provided. There are absolutely no issues with the fiber connection at my house, nor lack of quality in any shape or fashion with said service to be clear. HOWEVER, with that said, I do fully understand your guidelines, and I seriously appreciate you taking the time to explain things to me that I'd forgotten. Not everyone is as experienced at running dedicated servers, and the majority of ISP's at a residence I do agree are not even sub-par. since these isp facts don't apply to my system here, it was very easy for me to forget your guidelines. I do apologize. This will not happen again.

thank you for continuing to do an incredible service for us admins and players who need it.!

My "quality of service" comment was not aimed at your internet connection :)

It was aimed at streaming services that do not run any kind of checks on the admins / servers that use their services, or impose mandatory streaming requirements as part and parcel of allowing streaming.

By not imposing checks or requirements on prospective streamers, the door is left wide open for mischief makers to stream fake bans.

This was recently demonstrated at 2 other anti cheat sites that do not check admins / servers, and do not have any mandatory streaming requirements, they were hit with an influx of fake bans

In fact the only requirement they have in place at the moment is you must be a registered user on their forums.

Their way of tackling this problem is to quietly remove the fake bans and carry on regardless.

The problem is that the mass fake bans are swept under the carpet, but the fake bans that are trickled in ever so slowly are still there.

Any anti cheat site that does not check admins / servers and have mandatory streaming requirements in place, has, at the very least, a corrupt banlist, hence my quality of service comment.
