Well for some stupid reason or another I can't download the mod from the site that Maydax posted, it doesn't DL the entire file and says its corrupted or something.....tried it twice. I found another link if anyones having issues like me......its at Filefront.....Star Wars GW Mod

Here is a nice alternative that my dad uses on his systems'...... Visual Styles I'm told it doesnt run in the background or anything and that it is basically made part of your OS and is supposed to kick ass! .....and no I'm not some 13 yr old punk, I'm 35. :lol: Hope this helps.

Make sure you save that sof2key file also on something like a floppy, flash drive, or just somewhere cause it would be a sad, sad day if you couldn't recover it. Bell had the same issue like 2 years ago but ended up finding it written on a piece of paper somewhere.

I believe even though Vista is a *Direct X 10* OS, it will also play *Direct X 9.0c* and below games (SoF2 is actually 8.1) at their native settings. I'm running the new Windows 7 Beta w/DX 10 btw and I have installed SoF2, CoD4, and Fear all on it and they all seem the same as always. (Well except not being to connect to PB enabled servers for Unknown Windows API Function.) Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. :blink: You might just have an incompatibility between the OS and the onboards video drivers.

You might possibly try running SoF2 in "Compatibility Mode" for Windows XP. Find your sof2mp.exe icon in your SoF2 folder and right click "Properties" then look for the tab that says "Compatibility". I know I'm showing you XP but I believe if memory serves, Vista has the same options.
