  1. cheatbusted / aon (airdale ops) and ACI currently. as for server performance as of yet no one has noticed any change in performance.
  2. Issue resolved topic closed :D
  3. What ever happened to 64.34.43.8 / 12 / 13 and 26 ? these server's use to stream to MoC, and afaik .DA had taken them over after KSD/GUN (ET Clan) had moved servers, they use to stream to MoC even when .DA took over they were streaming for a short while.
  4. Appeal here --> Click Me <--
  5. page up and page down are usually used to scroll up and down in console.
  6. nice avatar I could use a extra pair of those, my gf gave birth to my son today :) and hence needing an extra pair (for me) :D
  7. md5/whitelist catches would be only if your messing about with the default game files and/or known 'cheat' files/settings afaik. the d3d hooking can be used as a viable option for wallhacking or possibly esp w/ wallhack effect though thats just a guess :) thats why i suggested something similar to etadmin as its quite viable and uses the game's logging feature and console "say" output. you are looking to make a client side mod but unfortunatly i cant see that happening anytime soon without breaking some tos/eula but who knows :), what you want todo is a dificult task if you accomplish it my hat's off to you :)
  8. heh i didn't see the *removed* mentioned.. was that edited in after i responded? or was/am i blind :D
  9. cg_errordecay controls how fast a prediction error is decayed off to smooth out any jerkiness. A prediction error is, very basically, what occurs when the client and server disagree on the location you're in. so no not banable :)
  10. as Dingo noted, without your servers streaming we cannot add any bans to our MBI. for information on how to stream your server via REP go here http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19776 if you would like to stream via HUB (most popular choice) the instructions on how to set that up is located here http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19266
  11. the motto here is Quality over Quantity, you technically dont wanna " catch alot of cheaters " as that would mean there would be a rampant problem on your server with cheating.. The Least amount of cheaters you catch, the better players you have on your server. as long as you let it be known that you are streaming all your violations and be a 'admin nazi' as some would call it, cheaters will avoid your server, some cheaters are cocky and try to cheat in spite all the power to them as they will just get caught and added to the MBI. set up a task advertising via console or what not saying " all cheat related violations are added to pbbans.com master ban index " or something along those lines. In MoC we had 20+ servers with a task similar to this ;pb_sv_task 30 3600 cp "^ePunkbuster Banlist is now ^1updated" pb_sv_task 1 14400 cp "This server is Protected by PBBans [^1www.pbbans.com^d]" we would have people ask what that was about and we the admin(s) would explain how we were trying to have a clean server for everyone to play on. so if you want to "catch cheaters" streaming is the best way but it also requires some of your time as an admin to watch fishy players etc.
  12. afaik hlsw will not work with the pb point system , as its not executing rcon commands its executing PB commands think of it as a 'semi admin' feature. also pb rcon system requires a guid and/or ip mask for it to work etc.
  13. Im not too sure about the hooking of d3d but i would deffinatly contact evenbalance about it, however have you ever thought about running something similar as to etadmin which is a bunch of perl scripts that output text via rcon to the server. it also uses stats tracking etc. http://et.d1p.de/etadmin_mod/wiki/index.php/ this is for enemy territory however with some ingenious modifications / programming im sure you could make it work for other games.
  14. http://www.evenbalance.com/publications/co...ndex.htm#pbrcon this should help ya somewhat :)
  15. 'streaming' in general doesnt cause lag, pb however in general does cause 'some' lag and/or use more resources then a server w/ pb disabled. This is why some server admins dont run pb, but in doing so their server is left open for the non legitimate players (cheaters). People who are commonly 'laggy' due to pb are people with sub standard pc's (imo) or their connection settings aren't properly setup within the game (or their connection in general is poor) not to mention other factors like personal routers and their firewall and port forwarding schemes that some people neglect to setup. there can be quite a few factors involved in why someone 'lags' i could make a fairly decent list of what they could be and still probably miss allot of things.
  16. to lower the ignoring md5 tool queries you can also try raising your pb_sv_md5toolfreq setting to say 60 or higher (the higher the number the less frequently it checks per md5)
  17. you can always do something similar like /rcon pb_sv_banlist partialguidhere or text and that will search thru the banlist for something specific.. i.e. /rcon pb_sv_banlist a22bh4afg will show any guids with that combination in it. or /rcon pb_sv_banlist mutltihack that will show all the multihacks etc.. unfortunatly rcon uses UDP protocol to send the data to your computer and there is a limit on how much data it sends out to you at any single time. so if your banlist is large it wont output the entire list.
  18. nothing to worry about. pb integrity could be caused by a couple things one would be pb files out of date, also a communication between the pb client and server/host etc. game integrity would be caused by something like a file mismatch i.e. running 2.6 on a 2.60d (just as a rough example) though both could be said about some 'hack' trying to circumvent pb and modify or hook to the et client.. but unfortunatly neither of those violations can prove such.. so unless he gets caught with a banable violation nothing can be done cept keep an eye on said person.
  19. HI and welcome to Pbbans :) weren't you part of RAR w/ McBeth? *edit* just curious who hosts your server?
  20. I like that setup lol i need a little tv put off to the side so i can pvp and watch tv at the same time lol
  21. hard to say since i dont play cod2... however it almost looks like the video card has gone bad i can sorta produce something similar with an old 32/64mb vid card that i know is fairly crappy...
  22. he's streaming to psb atm, and use to be a MoC moderator/streamer. maybe when the Multi streaming stuff is incorporated?
  23. those specific scripts are completely legal nothing wrong with em.. but banning for scripts is upto the Game Server Administrators Discrection.. We use to ban people for using Anti Recoil Scripts and I know several other current streaming admins who do the same.. but since this is sof2 i cant really speak about which scripts are 100% valid and which are not.
  24. wrong. 'weapon change delay' is not affected client side, almost everything is server side. Speedhacks are caused by various reasons sometimes 'game and system optimizers' actually changes the game enviroment similar to video drivers changing the enviroment for specific games for 'game optimization' I'm quite familiar with enemy-territory the in's and out's of the server/client enviroment and the coding that can be done client side/server side. One of the streaming admins here at pbbans has made his own Custom Mod unique only to his server and has added features that only people could dream about for ET like Trip Mines which is quite cool imo. A 'malicous' person has more control of the server end then client side i.e. so if a server mod allows one type of thing like for instance 3rd person view in Enemy-territory PB by default makes it so you CAN'T use 3rd person view however if you code in 3rd person view into the server side mod you can then use that feature and get around pb. this specific streaming admin has done just that and added 3rd person view into his mod, its nice but damn hard to aim :)
  25. not everyone uses a pb_sv_cvar file :P some put all their cvar checks in their pbsv.cfg ( all of the Old MoC servers were setup this way ) just Like all of the old MoC servers we're also setup to load 2 banfiles one for local bans and one with cheater bans , this way you could easily locate & distinguish specific bans.
