  1. I've seen many a server killed off by upgrading to 2.6b, but then again, I've seen many succeed. My server runs perfect in 2.55 now and I've never had it hacked or had rcon passwords stolen by means of ensuring it's fully protected. As such, I won't be upgrading it since it runs fine for me as it is. I play RtCW 1.0 and 1.4. 1.4 has better players and PunkBuster, but there always seems to be less players in 1.4 whenever I check :( If the servers I play on are emtpy in 1.4, I play 1.0. S4NDMoD in 1.0 is basically a copy of Shrubmod with bits from Bani implemented, yes, but I do like the hitsounds in S4NDMoD (ET style - different hitsound for headshots) and the featured spree sounds. The debate will go on forever and I doubt there will ever be an end to it. Personally I'll play any version of the game as long as I enjoy doing so.
  2. /rcon pb_sv_help will show you most of the PB settings available. Also see PunkBuster commands and settings. By the way, you can't stream a home hosted server to PBBans. See ToS 1.1: http://www.pbbans.com/tos.php
  3. /pb_cvarlist when you connect to the server to see the allowed values for 'r_lodscalerigid'. Then, adjust your settings accordingly.
  4. Your account was suspended because you stated you were running a home hosted server. The fact it was home hosted had got overlooked and now you bought it to their attention, your account was suspended. See ToS 1.1 http://www.pbbans.com/tos.php
  5. Issuing the required rcon commands for PBBans will not remove any streaming settings for PunksBusted ;)
  6. You can stream to both without any problems.
  7. Obtain the banned players guid (/pb_myguid) then do a search for it on the homepage of this site to see if the ban is in place here or somewhere else.
  8. It's an MD5 tool check, not a cvar ;) Basically, this means the players in question had files in their game folder which are bannable for (see the PBBans MCi). Click the ban appeal link if you feel the bans are not valid.
  9. Follow the instructions on both anti-cheat websites to get your servers streaming. They will stream to both organizations without any problems at all.
  10. Try: +set rconpassword xxxx +set password xxxx +connect 123.456.789.012 I use the above syntax for Enemy Territory, but adjust the commands (if needed) to suit CoD 4.
  11. www.bnbclan.org Good luck with the unban request btw. The fact you admitted an aimbot was downloaded pretty much means the chance of your ban being lifted is 0.
  12. Are these messages saying something like 'PBBHub: Player xxx (xxxxxxxx) banned for CVAR (9001)'? If so, this is the announce bans feature, and they are not bans caught by your server personally ;)
  13. The 'Enforce Bans' flag will allow the Hub to kick any cheaters who join your server and are on the MBi.
  14. Drop the checks for stock game files and your problem goes away ;)
  15. I watched it when you posted it in IRC. Looks like a WH to me, but that's my opinion only. I.e. not the opinion of anyone from PBBans.
  16. 10 rules of online gaming:
  17. It's added to your account, but not streaming. Be sure to follow the HUB streaming instructions on your server: Source: Click
  18. No need to post; servers get added by an admin a short while after you add them via your account manager ;)
  19. PBBans bans by GUID. A GUID will not be the same for another game, so there would be no point carrying GUID bans between games.
  20. Yeah I frequent it quite often. Drama's usually around but not on the level of that in a 2.6b 'pro' server. Yup, etpub 0.8.1's stable in 2.55. It's just Omni-Bot 0.66 that causes the problems. As for not running bots on a box server; I couldn't agree more. Bots would probably put the more skiller players off. My server's a pub server, so that's not as much of a problem for me. I've worked hard on it and now, bots are only needed for 2 hours per day in the early hours when the US players have gone to bed and the Euro's still aren't online. Seems to be a memory leak somewhere though; 4% mem slowly escalates to 80% over a period of 10 days if not restarted. Luckily my server's the only one on the box atm so I don't have to worry about it using resources which would otherwise be used by other servers :P
  21. Thanks for your reply, but I managed to resolve my issue. I'd incorrectly typed 'color', spelling it the English way adding a 'u' into it. Changing it from 'colour' to 'color' fixed my problem :P
  22. I fixed the problem in 2.55 by using an older version of etpub. What you explained in your post is one of the main reasons I don't play etpro very often. I love the mod, and the skilled opposition, but a lot of the players seem to be big-headed and cocky. I generally enjoy pubbing in 2.55. It's generally more fun and light hearted with less emphasis on the 'everything but etpro sucks' line. I play for fun mainly, and it's not very often I go into competition play / box servers. When I do go into a 2.6b 'pro' server, it's mostly just a lot of skilled players bitching at each other about topics such as 'omfg you suxxorz'. Shame, really, 'cause etpro is a very good mod :( From time to time I play on the etpub 2.55 box servers and it's better IMO. There seem to be less bitchy people, although there are still some. It always seems to me that there's always a lot of drama on the so called 'pro' servers.
  23. Streaming game admins can create their own greetings. These greetings will be displayed when they join any streaming server (same game the greeting's configured for) with the 'Allow hub greetings' flag checked. To stop it; simply uncheck the 'Allow Hub Greetings' flag ;)
  24. Submit a ticket to EvenBalance. Once they say you're clean, you can have your ban lifted from here ;) http://evenbalance.com/troubleticket/new_ticket.php?game=et
  25. If that is the only server you are banned from, they you will need to contact the server admin as it is not a matter realing to PBBans.com. You can enter your GUID on the main page of this website to see if you are banned by PBBans.com. If not, contact the admin of the server you were playing on ;)
