They want to know if you're still banned when you connect to a server that is PB-enabled. If so, give them the specific ban-reason. Either write it down and type it into the ticket, or take a screen-shot of it and send it to them, so that they can work with it specifically. We're trying to help here, but you have to help yourself too, in regards to working with the situation, and include as many details as possible in the trouble-ticket, as well as keep us informed of the outcome.

Knife Attack (meelee) bound to scroll wheel?
RoadWarrior replied to =RAV=THATSMR2U's topic in Call of Duty 4
Binds are there for all players to use, as they are a part of the game itself. Use what you feel comfortable with, as many players will do just that everyday. As long as the game itself allows those binds, they are not cheats, and will never be banned for here. Opinions on the matter are just that, and they are the opinion of the said-poster. Perhaps we're flogging a dead horse with this conversation? -
Then let them know.

User action required, according to the ticket. Meaning you need to provide additional info at EB's request. Submit the updated info as per the ticket and perhaps this will be resolved.

Knife Attack (meelee) bound to scroll wheel?
RoadWarrior replied to =RAV=THATSMR2U's topic in Call of Duty 4
No binding will be banned here, at pbbans.com Let that be known, first-off. As a game-server admin myself, I personally use the left mouse button to attack, and most do. Using the scroll-wheel may not perhaps allow you an advantage, as far as aim is concerned, but it allows you to fire single-shot weapons at the same or higher rate to automatic weapons, and should not be bound to such, if reading said-server rules. If you play on a server that says that is against thier ToS, then live with it, and learn to play the game properly. Personally, while my server also will ban for someone using the above scroll-wheel-bind, I don't consider it a cheat, yet it is perhaps a bit silly to use. -
Use /pb_plist to get player slot/connection number/ID's Use /rcon "passwordhere" pb_sv_ban "slot or name here" BF2 works a bit different from some games, so checking with www.evenbalance.com for your particulars will help, clicking on the game-link for your game.

I'll add to that last post, a bit. Bottom line, while PBBans works with evenbalance, we're not evenbalance. We work with them to help detect cheats, and do share information, but ultimately, they are the masters, when it comes to this, and perhaps some cards are best kept to our-selves. Evenbalance can't begin to do the job they do, if they make everything public, nor can any a/c site begin to help them, if they do so, as well. May as well just open the doors and let the a/v world fight more crackers at that point. EvenBalance does a fantastic job, and I am greatful for their existance. Perhaps be more worried about what other "groups" are doing out there to try and fend off ac-detection. And in a humorous light of things.... "Acting as the Bartles and James" of ac, we thank you for your support. ;) :P

It means a fellow streaming sga joined your server, and has server messages enabled, with his choice of message, as well, you have them enabled in your account manager, thus his message shows when he joins your server.

Knife Attack (meelee) bound to scroll wheel?
RoadWarrior replied to =RAV=THATSMR2U's topic in Call of Duty 4
I'll add to hugin's post here, as we both run the same server. We have rules that scroll via server messages. They are there for all to read, as well as the forum address. It's entirely up to each server admin on such issues, and agreed, post more about them on IW forums so the Dev's know how you feel, and know what you want in the next patch. PBBans is here to do one thing. Help get rid of cheating, in-game. We're not here to help you control binds of keys on your own servers. Your rules, your server, do as you wish with those. They are entirely your choice. We can sit here and get into long debates about which binds are "cheats" in the minds of others, or we can deal with the real cheats, and that's what we're here to do. Binds, if you can do it via the game properties, so can another. Not bannable, period. No point in discussion on that issue. -
You're in a private zone that only staff can see, so if you feel the need to post the site, by all means do. If you're ever un-banned, do not do so in public or SGA-related areas, use the pm feature to alert an admin. There's a difference there. Secondly, I've personally seen enough from you in regards to taking on a snide-side to your issue. If you want help, then ask....but do so politely. The whole reason we keep this area at all is to help those who have recieved a ban, and it could end up being a false-positive, while giving them some benefit to the expertise of staff here, in how to achieve best results with evenbalance. You have a couple of choices, the way I see it. a) Be a dick about it, and for-ever hold your peace. We don't have to care, and I think you perhaps are getting that feeling. B) Be polite, ask valid questions without the ignorant comments and rude remarks, and you will get as much help as we can legitimately give you. Thus achieving the most attention at evenbalance, and perhaps finding a faster resolve/answer to your particular situation. The choice is yours. Work with us, we'll work with you. Coming at us with attitude and such will just grant you a fast-track to never-land, and you can enjoy that else-where. I know we will. ;)

He did not have pb enabled in his server.cfg file. I looked thru it, and while it was exec'd thru command line, was not thru the server.cfg so it would not run on cod games of any sort.

Only applies to streaming SGA's at pbbans. Many at TWL only stream to PsB, and we're two seperate entities, using two different forms of streaming. Can't help you there, but I know TWL requires their GUID, so they can perhaps reference it for you. Best we can offer.

Yes, the game has to be uploaded on your server. Can't run it without it being there.
-
http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=97 I personally go for hosting where they set it up for you, but there are others here who also run dedicated boxes that might be able to help out a bit more.

RCON commands are done from the game's console. Use the tilde key(~) to open it in-game, and then enter your rcon password as follows. /rcon_login "yourpasswordhere". Then you can simply enter the rcon commands in the above-noted thread for your game. Also, which game are you running?

Can you report someone you suspect is hacking?
RoadWarrior replied to cod4user's topic in Call of Duty 4
The bottom line here is that we only ban based on facts. Coming here and saying you know someone is cheating in a game won't help. The purpose to streaming is in fact to collect said-facts and ban with the knowledge the ban is then legit. Otherwise we'd be banning people randomly and for no good reason on a regular basis, and that is not, nor ever will be the way pbbans operates. -

RoadWarrior replied to cod4user's topic in Call of Duty 4
get a server streaming, so we can review logs, and include our checks and balances checks for said game via the MCI. Otherwise, no. No streaming logs, no facts, no ban. We only ban based on streamed logs with fact behind them here. We also only ban GUID's here so do not ask for IP bans either. Perhaps read our ToS again, or read it for the first time, as the case may be. -
Next step I would like you to try. Go into your game's install folder, and re-name your pb folder to pb_old. Don't delete it, just re-name it. Create a new folder named pb(case-sensitive). Download the pbsetup.exe file from www.evenbalance.com and slide it into this new pb folder, and run it. Effectively, this creates all brand-new pb files, while keeping your old ones as a back-up, in case you might need to revert(simple re-name folder process). Then try and connect to the game. From your logs, it would appear the PnkBstrK drivers are not loading for some reason, and this is most often the fix for the issue.

While not an AA player, I'm glad to see y'all willing to work with us, and will definitely put in my two cents worth to get a co-operation working amongst us. Any anti-cheat site working with another is something that only makes our anti-cheat cause stronger, and will shorten the leash on which servers cheats can run on. Perhaps one day we will achieve our supreme goal of being completely cheat-free, in the games we love, for now, working together makes us one step closer to that potential reality. We thank you for the opportunity to work with you, and help provide more options for shutting the crackers down.

It's not bad for a free driving game. I actually dusted off the old wheel/pedal set for a few rounds of it a couple or three weeks ago. X-fire had a banner for it at the top of the messenger one day. Can't say I'm a huge fan of driving games anymore, but for what it is, it's pretty decent.

Is this on Vista? Make sure you right click the multi-player icon and select "run as administrator" from the options.

I took the time to listen to the interview. Very well done! I guess I'm gonna have to make sure to load up some snow for Bob into the next reefer-trailer I send down his way and have it delivered to his front lawn. ;)

Shrubmod has it's roots in RTCW, and is not a cheat of any kind. It's simply a mod of the game, and was implemented into many different ET mods as well. Just as a point of interest, take a look at this site, and note the dates going back to 02. ;) http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/shrub/

Thanks for posting, GW. I knew you had a work-around for it, and any help with such matters is always appreciated, for those looking for solutions. I don't personally own a Mac, and probably never will, so I can only draw info from those that do.
