The Unofficial MBi (UMBi) is used for Enemy Territory and lite streaming servers only. If a lite streaming account is active and has a number of UMBi bans but then the account holder decides to apply for full streaming they will have bans on both lists. The UMBi is more of an internal banlist for grey area bans. That is why it's not available to the public the same way the original MBi is. We don't see the need to add any personal admin banlists to the Hub as others do that already (and get more ddos heat because of it ie Metabans)

When PBBans started in 2003 we allowed anyone to stream with the exception of players who had a ban on the Master Ban Index (MBi). In 2008 we had to revise that policy with additional requirements which included some suggestions from outside sources such as Even Balance. This was due to the mass fake ban attacks and since then we have denied streaming to many teams mainly for not meeting our revised requirements. Those include a website, active forums and a roster. While it doesn’t make streaming totally secure it does greatly reduce the risk of fake bans. Today we are launching PBBans Lite Streaming which will allow those server admins who do not meet the website, forums or roster requirements a way to use PBBans while keeping our streaming security intact. It offers the same streaming benefits that our current admins have but with the following limitations: - Player data from servers is not entered into the Master Player Index (MPi). - New bans are entered into the Unofficial MBi. There are also no ban announcements for any ban added to the Unofficial MBi. - No Demo submissions. - Streaming Lite Admins have limited access to the Master Player Index (MPi). - Streaming Lite Admins do not have access to the same forum areas as Streaming Admins. Some may ask why even offer lite streaming if the above limitations are in place. The goal of the lite streaming option is to give server admins who do not meet all our requirements the ability to use the PBBans Hub so they can have the protection that other admins have. The lite streaming option is a good way for previously skeptical/reluctant server admins to get an idea of how effective PBBans Hub streaming can be in keeping cheaters out of their servers. Lite streaming admins also have the option to upgrade to full streaming at any time by meeting all the streaming requirements and submitting a ticket. Lite streaming admins can enforce bans from the MBi and they can also enforce bans from the unofficial MBi as well. Our PBBans Full Streaming members now have the option to enforce unofficial bans for all games. Cheating is not going away and in the end we are here to fight cheating in games. We feel the lite streaming option will help do that while keeping our streaming security the same as it has been since 2008.

Some of it I agree with such as fixing reload times with animations and the smoke nade bug but rest it's:

That's in the SA forums :P

Good I can grab your tags for a 3rd time :)

Hardcore? That's one thing I always avoid. I prefer softcore :)

I tend to play in large open maps to keep suppression effects to a minimum so doubt that :P

My issue is suppression was fine before they increased it. I could play for hours and not get a single headache. Now I can't last 10 minutes on close quarter maps. As for Premium, I'm now a member which I received as a gift. Useful for map testing purposes. I'm still not fond of it but I'd be stupid to turn down a gift that may aid me in PBBans operations in the future. Many thanks to DICE :)

I get that feeling from it now. I also remember this: http://bf3blog.com/2011/09/ea-battlelog-will-stay-free/ Now we have paid premium features that include a forum sig, reset stats option, queue priority, more layers and decals for the platoon emblem, carbon fiber profile page design and more. All part of battlelog :P I don't have any interest in premium but it shouldn't effect my game experience or put me in a "lower class" as a non-premium member. I'm a firm believer in equality and it's why I volunteer my time at PBBans to fight cheaters. But DLC is not just the maps anymore. You have more weapons, more assignment unlocks that can be used in the stock game. It should have been done so that the weapons unlocks that come with a given expansion should only be used in that expansion. Pay to win enters my mind with the current methods used. Hell cheaters do that. The excessive motion blur from suppression pretty much killed my desire to play BF3 and since that wasn't fixed in the patch I've lost even more interest with that and all the premium vs non-premium stuff.

So did the E3 promo videos from the last MoH. Turned out to be nothing special and died off quickly. I've learned never trust the hype or any promo video from EA and Activision over the years. User opinions and reviews are key these days. tbh MoH seemed like the love child of BC2 and COD :P

That's the #1 issue atm for why the war of premium vs non-premium / server admins is ongoing. I see the whole priority queue shit and think of people cutting in line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-cdK3eTPw4 The more I read the battlelog forums, the more I see that EA created an upper and lower class environment. Nothing but people flaming each other. "Have you ever considered getting a job or selling some of your organs?" "good idea, keep from being more poor" "peasants" "i totally agree im disgusted that the peasant filth arent kicked to make room for there superiors!" "After paying my £40 i have to actually wait till somebody leaves the server before i can jump the que and join? surely one of these anti premium peasants should just be kicked from the game to make way for us?" "we are the master race" I gotta admit CoD Elite (Premium) is better than BF3 Premium for equality. It doesn't effect gameplay nor place paying customers above the non paying ones. http://www.callofduty.com/elite/whats-included

Automatic Hub Setup Question
MaydaX replied to NYPDSwat's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
You do not need to stream to anyone else to stream to PBBans. It's totally up to you. Many people use multiple streaming communities. -
I recall many posts about missing features that were in BF2. So the core game really isn't up to "snuff". No VOIP, no spectator mode, no battle recorder, no commander, no 6 person squads, no mod tools / map editor, unranked server files, more smaller "cod" type maps, etc etc. Can't count how many posts I've seen about server crashes or EA online disconnected messages over the last 7 months. My point is DLC would be worth it if the core game was really solid but it's not (Least for me). And to top it off they are now aiding cheaters by allowing them to reset their K/D ratios etc so they can hide. Not that we use that data here at PBBans but I'm sure many admins do.

"vars.premiumStatus true" equals this: Also viewing the bf3.exe with a text editor shows:

Wonder how many people would pay $110 for a game. Cause that's basically what it is now. More and more like pay to win. Hell that's what cheaters do lol.
-
Just proves how true the "Ea in a Nutshell" video is. Worst part is Premium is plastered all over Battlelog. My urge to play BF3 dropped dynamically with the suppression buff and motion blur. Was hoping they would fix now that but it never happened. Still just as bad and now all this premium shit. God I miss the Alpha Trial, was such a great game in the making that drove off a cliff in the end. Cheaters must be loving that. Battlelog Poll

Server queues are now limited to 10 And by the looks of how many people bought premium, non premium users are screwed for the server queues
