Request to add admin for my server
fozzer replied to C@rVr's topic in Streaming Questions and Troubleshooting
If this is not sorted for you by tomorrow afternoon .. I'll sort it for ya when I get in from work. If your server is added to the HB account the main admin for that account (the team account creator) will need to add you to their team account. The only way you can request additional admins is if you have your own team account. With this in mind here is what I propose. proposal: 1. you need to be removed from the SiN team account. 2. your server needs to be deleted from the SiN team account. 3. you need a team account created specifically for your server with you as the main admin. Once the above proposals are put in effect its you that will have control over your own server and it will save us having a similar headache if you decide to leave HB or HB breaks up. -

Would this be ok?

np bro :) I normally give the "you get what you pay for" speech and for the most part it's true, the crunch time normally happens after a period of a few weeks when the gsp crams a few too many clan servers onto 1 box. I know that Jolt always leave a little to spare so no problems re overcrowding rear up. It's worth a mail and having a whine, the trick is to make it look like leaving is a decision thats been forced on you soley by competitive pricing elsewhere, the Jolt suits can only empathise and either wave goodbye or offer up a deal :P Best of luck. -

our m8 aint the only one who does support bro :P .. amiga oasis and pottah are supposed to be support staff too .. and re prices .. drop a mail to the Jolt community manager expressing regret for having to leave such a great service purely for financial reasons .. make sure you include what you were paying for Jolt and what you pay now :) also mention the response times to tickets raised .. I have forum pm'd you bigfoots mail address. You never know .. a deal may be offered if your interested that is. -

No problem what so ever m8 :) The Hub is so stable and the enhanced features work so well, that I think the rep type stream is old hat. We already have a hefty chunk of admins who stream to both premiere anti cheat sites. -
The only bans that are directly attributed to EvenBalance are global hardware/guid bans. PB just kicks for anything that triggers a violation as per this list. Now to the nitty gritty :) PB is the best anti cheat software out there, no one else comes close in my opinion, the one thing I find is that it can be slow to update the detection software. This could be deliberate on their part because they are running "silent detections" and will issue a mass global ban to all those detected, as recently demonstrated in BF2. As usual EvenBalance play their cards close to their chest and who can blame them. The PBBans stance is to remove any cheater from its streaming servers asap. With this in mind we collect/receive cheats, both public and private, for every PB supported game genre and dissect the cheat and any files it may contain. We then update the Master Config Index (MCI) with the relevant cvars and md5 scans gleaned from the dissection. Even if the cheat produces something that may look innocuous at first glance i.e. a wav/ini/cfg/log etc the one thing to remember is that if its on the MCI it means it is uniquely generated by a cheat. With the latest cheats being injected / run outside of the game directory / the gathering of the innocuous info becomes more important than ever in our efforts to keep servers clean and cheat free, as does cvar scanning. I could go on for hours detailing the in's and out's of what we do here to protect the honest gamers :) Shortened version All the above will kick you from a server and are directly attributed to PB software. All bans except for global ones are issued by PBBans and are either triggered directly by PB software or PBBans cvar/md5 checks. Bans triggered by PB software will only be removed if EvenBalance confirm that a "false positive" was made via a trouble ticket

Over at PsB forums you will see this: The PBBans stance is to remove anyone who generates a kick from the list below asap from PBBans protected servers. #50000s - Aimbot #60000s - Wallhack #70000s - Multihack #80000s - Gamehack #90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers #100000s - Speedhack #110000s - Autofire #120000s - Game Hook #130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack

google is your friend registry editing has been disabled by your administrator If malaware has infected your system it might be an idea to run a sweep for viruses/worms etc most helpful

I would have thought the best course of action would be to raise your "challenge" on forums were its hosted. I dont see the relevance of posting it here, and I dont see a streaming game admin avatar. Am I missing something here ?

We only accept pbss evidence from streaming servers m8. This is not PBBans saying "you dont stream so tough" Its because the md5# of the pbss has to be verified as genuine via streamed information. This totally eliminates the "I was framed" whine.
-
streaming creates 0 lag. I notice you have been streaming since the 4.5.2007 .. has the lag suddenly appeared out of nowhere ? possible causes. server provider cramming too many servers onto 1 box. Badly configured PB settings. solution: First thing is to identify the culprit. Disable PB on your server, if the lag disappears then you can ask advice on here re your PB configuration. If lag is still present enable PB and get in touch with your provider.
-
As long as the server is streaming pbss can be submitted immediately via the pbss manager in your team account .. the actual review process is normally complete within 24-48 hours. You do know that dual/multistreaming is possible ? Check it out here http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19266

no need for a post m8, as long as its added via your team account. Streaming nicely btw :)
-
and no streamed log information to verify them as genuine, sorry m8 but every ban thats added to the PBBans Master Ban Index has streamed evidence to back it up. All info can be found in the PBBans TOS agreement

The 2 main anti cheat sites (PBBans and PsB) do not list this server as streaming. Its not even listed on the gv site Even if it was streaming he would be able to repeatedly rejoin a PsB or gv protected server, both take hours to apply a banlist update afaik, and PsB do not add 130000 violations to their banlist any more. PBBans servers that stream via the Hub would all have him on their servers pbbans.dat in about 4 seconds .. thats why the PBBans Hub is the preferred method of streaming, by choice, of admins that use our services.

Streaming does not create lag .. other things do .. for example: badly configured pb settings gsp's cramming too many clans on a box to name but 2 .. first thing to do is to positively identify PB as the culprit .. disable it on the server for a short period and see if things improve .. if they dont then contact your game server provider, because he probably has too many clans sharing the same box ... if things do improve with PB disabled then we can look at your PB settings and advise as neccessary. Servers I run are lag free btw. :) **update** I ping a steady 140 - 155 to your server via hlsw ..not bad from liverpool uk .. I get a steady green line in the lagometer with no red spikes -

server is not configured correctly for Hub streaming, which is the PBBans recommended method of streaming. http://www.pbbans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19266 scroll down to bf2cc section -
The only "link" they will respond to is the one I posted .. here it is again http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticket/n...t.php?game=cod2 just as a matter of interest what "link" are you trying ?
-
A bit confused are you m8 ?This is PBBans .. we are a privately run anti cheat site. Try opening a trouble ticket ..this is exactly what it was designed for. http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticket/n...t.php?game=cod2 The disallowed program driver means that the rendering path of cod2 is being redirected by another programme and a trouble ticket will help you find out the culprit. Make sure you include in the trouble ticket: 1. any overlay programs installed (chat, voice, media streaming, etc.) please make note of those in your trouble ticket 2. Your Direct-X version 3. Your video driver version and if you are using the standard drivers or modified ones General PB Client Authentication Failure normally points to a network/bandwidth issue on the clients side

Any of the violations listed below are raised directly by EvenBalance themselves - if someone thinks that the ban issued is wrong they should raise a trouble ticket and ask the questions there. http://www.evenbalance.com/troubleticket/ Cheat/Hack Violations: When PunkBuster detects a cheat or hack by repeated positive identification on a player's computer, a violation is raised. These violation numbers are 50000 and higher. Families of cheats are listed below. Resolution: Remove cheats and hacks from the computer. #50000s - Aimbot #60000s - Wallhack #70000s - Multihack #80000s - Gamehack #90000s - 'Cheat' Video Drivers #100000s - Speedhack #110000s - Autofire #120000s - Game Hook #130000s - Attempted PunkBuster Hack
