    i logged into rcon

    copied and pasted everything one by one waiting 5 to 10 seconds in between each one

    should it start streaming by itself

    if everything was done via rcon then the last thing you put in is /rcon pb_sv_WriteCFG

    like so;

     

    /rcon pb_sv_task 0 21600 pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg

    /rcon pb_sv_LogAddr 63.171.64.22 //this never changes

    /rcon pb_sv_LogPort 24389 // this never changes

    /rcon pb_sv_LogUser USERNAME

    /rcon pb_sv_LogPw PW

    /rcon pb_sv_WriteCFG

     

    I see your server but as yet do not see it on the admin side waiting to be added to the rep,

    rep and Hub streaming request's are checked by an admin and have to be added to the rep. or Hub streaming list before actual streaming is initiated.

    If we cant see your server in the queue waiting to be added we can not initiate streaming :)

    I do not see your server as as "new server" waiting to be added to the rep.

    This means there is an error at your end.

    Things to check in your root pb folder:

     

    that a pbsvlog.cfg exists

     

    that the pbsvlog.cfg contains the following info:

    pb_sv_LogAddr 63.171.64.22 // this never changes

    pb_sv_LogPort 24389 // this never changes

    pb_sv_LogUser USERNAME

    pb_sv_LogPw PASSWORD

     

    (username and pass are chosen by you and should be passed to a staff member via forum pm)

     

    that the command line:

    pb_sv_load pbsvlog.cfg has been added to your pbsv.cfg

     

    and last but not least that a pb_sv_restart has been executed via rcon

     

    just repost here when your ready for another check :)

     

    as an alternative you might want to consider streaming via the PBBans Hub - all this requires is 5 rcon commands:

    /rcon pb_sv_writecfg pbucon.use

    /rcon pb_sv_restart

    /rcon pb_sv_USessionLimit 2

    /rcon pb_sv_uconadd 1 63.171.64.245 pbbans pbbans

    I think the crux of the matter is dependent on getting an honest answer to one simple question.

     

    Did Activision deliberately issue, worldwide, a new release of sof2 all with the same cd key,or was it an administrative foul up ?

     

    Either way it looks like Activision are passing the buck to PB, which is akin to stripping a soldier naked and asking him to disable a tank :blink:

    I guess as long as Activision are prepared to pay the retainer then PB will carry on supporting sof2 in some form or another but any guidrelax setting other than 0 kind of defeats the object of what PB is all about, and that is narrowing the playing field drastically for anyone who has cheated.

    log forwarding is exclusive to AAO atm and for the last week or so has been disabled while various networking issues are worked on.

     

    Take a read of some of the pinned topics here click me they explain what the PBBans Hub is all about :)

    We have quite a few streamers who stream to PsB using the standard rep. method and stream to PBBans via the Hub, doing so creates absolutely no conflicts what so ever.

    Every anti cheat site uses the rep. method of streaming .. this method of streaming is fully explained here click me

    PBBans is the only anti cheat site that has developed an alternative method of streaming .. this method is fully explained here click me

    The beauty of the PBBans Hub method of streaming is its simplicity to set up and the enhanced features it provides.

    The Hub has quickly established itself as the primary method of streaming, by choice, of the admins that use our services and after you initially generate a banlist when you first start streaming all bans are added auto to keep your servers pbbans.dat bang up to date.

    Violation detections on other Hub servers are added to your pbbans.dat within 4 seconds and detections made on rep. streaming servers are added when the rep. servers are parsed (once every 24 hours)

    By using the PBBans Hub, this free's up the standard rep. method of streaming so it's possible to stream to more than one anti cheat site if admins so desire.

    We strive for continuous improvement at PBBans and the developement of the PBBans Hub has brought us a lot more admins who use our service.

    In your particular case the Hub method of streaming is ideal and all you have to do as a server admin is to use the MCI info here click me to keep your server as cheat free as possible.

    i think all server admins should relax the guid. as activision have decided that as far as there concerned it should be then it makes sense to follow suit.

    your servers will still be protected from cheats but people with new copies will be able to play.

    like I said earlier Activision have effectively neutered PB :)

    What do you suggest we do when the mass issued cd key/guid is caught with a cheat, which it invariably will.

    We do our utmost to keep innocent players off our MBI as do all reputable anti cheat sites, the one constant all anti cheat sites operate with is that the players pbguid is unique.

    Once that constant is compromised PB becomes useless with a capital U.

    Integrity is one of our main concerns at PBBans, it seems that it's not one of Activision's.

    from what I can gather a huge administrative cock up has been made by Activision and their enquiry "can your players still play on non pb servers" speaks volumes.

    I guess this is the quick fix for their mistake rather than do the decent thing.

    As Bob has stated, as long as PB support sof2 then so shall we, but I think Activision have effectively neutered PB and how long that support remains will be answered sooner rather than later.

    Seems Activision have issued a worldwide distribution of sof2 with the same cd key :(

    Their idea of damage limitation was to close down the auth server, and recommend that players play on servers with no PB.

    This beggars the question as to how long sof2 will remain on the PB supported list.

    They have effectively neutered PB/sof2 with an administrative cock up of monumental proportions.

    Based on past experiences with game companies I dont see them making any kind of cd key re-issue but I have been known to be wrong before :P

    lets establish something first eh :)

     

    first you posted;

    i ran the PBSetup but it didn't work.

    so i did the PBWeb to update, didn't work either.

    then you post;

    Yes i get that, but it's weird because since i ran the PBSetup i can go to much more servers.

    but there are still a phew servers where i play a lot i get that message.

    does this mean that you have successfully ran pbsetup and your game and pb are bang up to date?

     

    if you have run pbsetup and it was successful then you should see 

    client version: (v1.286|A1364)  server version: v1.257|A1364|C1.286)
    if you join a server that is not updated you would still get in but you would see a lot of console spam about the server using an older version.

    does this integrity issue you have only pop up on etpro servers ?

    are you patched to 2.60b ?
