You need to apply for a team account and be accepted before anything is added to the hub ... its quite normal for bf2 / 2142 etc servers not to return a response to PB commands, but they will have a positive effect if entered correctly.
You quit irc too soon :) make your application and we can take it from there.

All that is required for a server to be configured for streaming is punkbuster enabled and the relevant commands sent to initiate streaming.
When you have the mod running send these commands one line at a time via bf2cc;
pb_sv_writecfg pbucon.use
pb_sv_restart

I need to restart a server due to config changes, will i need to go through all the PB commands again to get the server streaming or will it continue to stream after the restart?
I dont see a team account that you belong to Bro.

I need some assistance here. My clan, {BdG} already has an account with pbbans, but the problem I'm having is the person who set up the account is no longer with us and I'm the new head server admin. We recently gone from CoD4 to WaW.
I can't get in contact with our old admin, Dorian_Rast. Is there anything that can be done to transfer the account to me or delete that one to allow me to reset up our account so we can get streaming.
I'm nearly positive I've done everything except for the application...which I can't do because it tells me that our clan tags are already in use.
Any help would be appreciated.

We can now tell in an instant if a COD4 server is cracked (using a modified exe / binary).
I first tried deleting the server from the Hub and sending a forum PM to inform the admin that re-adding the server would lead to account suspension.
Due to the amount of re-additions, this method is obviously not working.
From now on, cracked servers will be deleted from the Hub and added to the PBBans server blacklist.
This will force the admin to contact us and they can be told "face to face", so to speak, exactly why their servers have been removed from the Hub, and in a lot of cases, why their forum access level is now set to member.

If ever you have a problem with your team account, the correct way to get it fixed is to make a post here;

If you try to create another account the form will not be available, and even if it was, the new account would be deleted for duplication.
Another route is to join our irc channel #pbbans on the quakenet network or use the java applet to contact staff "live";

Hey, can someone tell me why my friend and other clan leader nogood555 (NoGD) has been having so much trouble with the pbbans website?
his first account wouldn't validate or delete, etc. and his current account was working fine but is now a restricted user for an unknown reason.

Just a quick "heads up" Bro.
You have access to the SGA section of the forums, so you can read why extra security measures were put into place.
The slightest concern when a new forum account is checked, will result in limited forum access only.
Your co-leader has limited access to the PBBans forum and can post there if he feels an explanation is in order.

If you used the webtool to initiate streaming .. it first of all creates a blank file (pbucon.use) this is required for PBUCON to work.
Is pbsvucon.use a typo or the name of the actual file on your server ?

yes i am having the same problem(thought it would update when server starts to stream) along with our master user is no longer in our clan and i am the only other PBBan user for our clan

I have had my CoD4 Server streaming to pbbans for some time now w/ no issues, when i added another pb stream to the server pbbans stopped streaming.
is there something special that i need to do to have it stream pbbans and punksbusted?
PBBans and PsB use 2 totally different streaming initiatives and neither one has any impact on the other.

The end result is that the team account is suspended and the server removed from the Hub.
Anyone with a cheat conviction is not welcome to stream here, you are of course welcome to try streaming elsewhere.
You never know, the staff elsewhere might not be as bad as you reckon they are here.
Your forum account is now suspended, I have had enough of the random abuse that gets thrown about lately.

As for not buying a 2nd hand game, the guy was only thinking "why buy new when COD WaW is out soon" and I have to say I agreed with him, I wouldnt pay full price for a new copy of COD4 right now even if I did need it
The chance you take when buying any game second hand is that the pbguid could be on the banlist of a major anti cheat site or globally banned by EvenBalance.
The only thing that concerns us is the 32 hexadecimal pbguid that is generated by the game cd key.
There is no doubt that a player with the pbguid of 0ff09e416215b821d109b201fecf633e was detected with cheat files in his game directory on a PBBans protected server.
The ban is therefore valid and will not be removed from the MBI.
A trace of the banned players IP leads to exactly the same place your posting from so maybe you can pop round and tell him why he can not play cod4 with his "second hand" game.
Nothing more to be said, so topic closed.

Fozzer we put up the server for streaming the =ool= clan.. we really dont have a clan or a website, we just wanted to make a server for people to have fun on and enjoy, also us who run the server like to stay without a clan because we dont like going through all the troubles and stuff. I was just wondering if u can still stream our server without us having a clan name or website because we've allready had 5 hackers that were sent to cheat logs on our server files but it never banned them.

We had to introduce new security measures recently and one of the main criteria we look for is a working clan website.
What you need for a successfull application is;
No cheat convictions.
A working clan website.
No hotmail mail address.
A clan name & tag are incremental info that is needed for administration purposes.
Do not forget that our banlist is public and bang up to date, you can download it here;
This will at least keep convicted cheaters off your server.

Hello all,
I was wondering if PBBans was compatible with MW4Mercs MP3b
we have many problems with hackers (mainly server crashers there) and was hoping to protect at least my server from attacks like this.
Any help would give hope to many. :)
PBBans is a privately run anti cheat site that supports all PB enabled games as per this list;

ok.. but can you explain the logic behind needing a website to have a team account? I don't understand why its necessary.
Clans that have been around for any length of time. or intend staying around for any length of time all have one thing in common ........ a working clan website.
It's a statement of intended longevity and stops the "fly by nighter's" taking up valuable time and resources that would be better employed elsewhere.
A clan website gives us the chance to "run the rule" over prospective streamers, check out their team roster etc etc, this prevents clans making a mockery of the anti cheat thesis, by deliberately harbouring cheaters within their ranks.
Theres probably a lot more I could type on the subject, but you get the drift.
A working clan website is a neccessity for streaming via PBBans and will be a neccessity for as long as we are around, if your not prepared to make an effort to create a working clan website then your welcome to try your luck streaming elsewhere.
I have deleted your current application and left the way clear to re-apply if you decide that a little effort is worth the protection that streaming to PBBans ensures :)

just about every game i go into i encounter a hacker.it is very obvious that these people are cheatn.punk buster never seems to be able to catch them.punk buster is a waste a time.the hackers seem to be better programers than the punk buster team.playing americas army is becoming a complete waste of time.hackers have fucked it. :doomed:
