AutoUpdate via the Hub will only last until the server or pb is restarted. For those with no cfg file access it's better than nothing.

That an odd one that I have seen happen. If you have no other ucon streaming services send these commands

Thats known, its Rackage. Unfortunately Hypernia is pretty much a monopoly here in Australia.

Will it not re-add them at some point though?

The MD5 autoupdate flag only sends new md5tool checks to the server when they are updated on our side (in the MCi). The checks are then stored in the server's memory -> server restart = wiped memory.

Got the server added to my account and ran the webtool successfully. How long does it take to start streaming?

Where do i set SPAM messages? Is there welcome message option like there was for 2142?

It should start streaming immediately if done correctly.

 

No welcome or ban messages at this time because UCON cannot send messages to the server.

I said I would work on file access and after a few days of talking with DICE, this is the list of files that are now allowed to be accessed:

pb/svlogs/*

pbsv.cfg

pbsvuser.cfg

pbsvlog.cfg

pbbans.dat

 

*Read+delete:

sv_viol.log

sv_cheats.log

 

This was made official and sent to RSPs an hour ago. So ask your RSP to check their emails from DICE and give you access :)

Thanks I see it is streaming now. I was just emailed by the RSP saying they are going to update to R5 server build. Which I guess means I need to run the webtool again to up the streaming?

 

BTW - thanks for the work PBBans have been putting into this.!!

what is suppose to be in the pbucon.use file, from what i can tell it has the same exact contents as my pbsv.cfg witch means the info i have posted aabove is in both pbsv.cfg and pbucon.use file

ok, well i cleared everything out of the pbucon.use and saved it, i thought maybe it might have something to do with my server not streaming.

webtool works a treat, server is streaming.

Is at a good idea to check the boxes for the 2 external banlists? at the moment Ive left them blank

Yes good idea to use them more extensive ban list as it incorporates Punksbusted GGC etc.

 

(Sure one of the staff could give you a better list than me)

Packet Loss, I think it's MyIS. We have our NA server with them, and our EU server with KillerKreations. I first tried to stream with our NA server ( Myis) and tried various methods to get it working repeatedly. Nothing worked, it still isn't streaming.

 

However my first attempt with the KillerKreations server has it streaming perfectly.

 

I have another question, earlier in the thread it was said that autoupdate would only last untill the server or PB was restarted if set up with the webtool/console. Is this the case if you actually edit pbsv.cfg etc?

i am able to to edit the pbsv.cfg file, i even setup pb webtool from the pbsv.cfg 69.12.109.36:1000 and ran the streaming commands from pb webtool and restarted the server and still no streaming i have used the 1.26 version of webtool through pbbans, tried bc2guardian. i know =SOE= has their server myis and their server is streaming

AutoUpdates apply to MD5 Tool checks which will not save. Streaming commands ended with the pb_sv_writecfg command will be saved.

 

As for the MyIS servers, make sure it's on the right IP. Use client logging to get the server ip that PB sees.

Ok i followed the steps and this is what i came up with

 

Connected to Server 69.12.109.19:2489

 

now do i add the server with the port being 2489 or the default port of 19567

just updated it to include the external lists, the way i see it is the more ban lists we can use the less hacktards will be able to join the server ;)

Hi guys,

 

New to owning a server. I'm trying apply for team application ( trying to setup pbbans on my bad company2 server)

 

But it says the ip 68.232.177.130:19567 is blacklisted when I submit info.

 

Why is it blacklisted? Just got it on the 2nd of march...

I'm still having the same issues as packet_loss. I am with MyIS and I have tried the Automated Hub Setup, setting everything up manually, AND BC2 Guardian.I've noticed when I enter all the commands in RCON, and I type pb_sv_uconlist it just gives me PunkBuster Server: [slot] [Type] [Mask] [Name]with nothing else. But yeah i've tried everything in the book and i'm stumped. I have zero clue whats wrong. me messing around in rcon w/ pb

I've tried emptying all the files, then letting the auto hub install do its thing, then it still doesn't runmy pb ucon keeps getting the above config in there too. so both shows, but its empty atm i've set it to just "// Used to enable PBUCON.".. hopefully i'm overlooking something.(i've checked ip, it's right)69.12.63.11:19567
