MaydaX
Over the past 4 months we have been hit with many DDoS attacks causing a lot of downtime. To help combat them we had to move to another host. As of today we have switched over to the new host and hardware. Unlike moves in the past we did not move our aging co-located server hardware and instead moved all the data to new unmanaged ones which is reducing our costs and giving us even greater DDoS protection. Because of this type of move there will surely be a lot of bugs to work out so please bare with us as we sort them out.

MaydaX
The best part is the DDoS attacks only caused some downtime but in the end helped us even more. They: 1) lowered our monthly costs by moving. 2) moved us away from aging co-located hardware that may have forced us to close due to hardware failure costs. 3) moved us to faster hardware, the latest linux OS and full IPv6 support with a /64 block for us to use. 4) got us out of a 30 day cancellation notice with our old host. 5) ddos protection included in the lower cost new servers.
MovedGoalPosts
Nice Effort. Moving hosting is always tedious and never undertaken lightly, but to get lowered costs yet faster systems, every cloud has a silver lining :)
pipes1
Only time will tell if the move was truly a great one as for now its a good move. lt's see down the road if this cost cut will save us even more and help keep things protected. kingdii
Remember, reduced costs does NOT mean donations can drop off. The kitty's been hit pretty hard for a while now.
EBassie
Thanks for the update Maydax and thanks for the continuing support. :) I would like to point out to you that the ucon profiles are still the old IP's on streaming admin's server page: http://account.pbbans.com/server.php

Great from over 625$ to 475$ to 325$. i hope it runs from alone with no tickets sending to all SA
Singh400
Said it before, I'll say it again:- Consistent DDoS attacks only prove one thing, that PBBans is doing an effective job.

You should change those in your punkbuster configs: http://www.pbbans.com/forums/announcement-if-your-server-is-no-longer-streaming-dec-2014-a15-in-forum582.html

Ice Man
What's the plan for the old hardware?
MaydaX
Most likely I will have it shipped back to me and I will update the os etc and use as a dev environment. I think numerous hard drives are not too healthy anymore as I see a night and day difference in speed in the new hardware. Plus they are 7+ years old.
